Latest Check-Ins

Typical Walmart boon-dockin. Back left side of Walmart looking at the front.
Be self contained and respectful of the little camper/rv city and you won’t be bothered.
Would recommend.. if you’re not a loud, trash littering, problem causing jerk.. Cheers!

Report Check-In

Lots of RVs and other large vehicles parked off to the left side of the Walmart. Spent the night and it was mostly quiet with a few cars circling the parking lot. I felt safe surrounded by other sleepy travelers. Walmart hours 6am-11pm

Report Check-In

Had no problems. It was quiet until the magpies in the morning. Felt safe. Would stay here again

Report Check-In

Quiet Walmart parking lot. There were some other camper vans and RV. Parked close to the tire center. There are some grass areas for the dog to potty.

Report Check-In

Was the closest we could get to Yellowstone for free and it did not disappoint! Stayed with SO many rvs, vans, and campers with no issues at all.

Report Check-In

Typical Walmart. Very quiet and no one bothered us. Best to park by all the RV's and campers that are on the side of the Auto Center and Lawn & Garden.

Report Check-In

great place to spend the night. felt safe and lots of other campers there too so it's definitely a good place to stay.

Report Check-In

We’re living out in Yellowstone working and stay here almost every other weekend to stock up on snacks and supplies, explore Cody, and stay the night. Highly recommend. PLEAAASE be respectful and pick up trash, stay in your vehicle, and on the left side of the lot. Also go support the location by shopping.

Report Check-In

I have been working seasonally in Cody and there are usually 10+ RV’s here every night. So this is definitely a great, safe spot to camp for the night.

Report Check-In

Stood here for one night with about 12 other bigger and smaller campers. Only on west side of carpark! Walmart is open from 6 am till 11pm. Clean bathrooms inside and good food selection.

Report Check-In

Decent Walmart, parked on the left side so we were pretty far from the road and we picked up the wifi from inside our camper

Report Check-In

We were here 2 years ago and liked it. The parking lot is huge and we parked at rear corner far away from the road. There are about 10 campers tonight, one of them huge class A with a trailer carrying a jeep. It’s very quiet and very convenient with Walmart, restaurants, gas stations close by. There were a few big trucks also, one of them had its engine on most of the night. That’s the only noise we could hear. 1 bar T-Mobile.

Report Check-In

As described. Quiet Walmart with 10+ rvs/vans. 1-3 bars of service Verizon and ATT, flickers back and forth.

Report Check-In

great parking spot on west side (left). trucks, rvs, vans and cars all together. quiet and no issues.

Report Check-In

Stayed 1night when first got here & again last night in back L corner with everyone else. Very obvious of where people are parking - trucks, cars, RVs, etc). Decent Verizon service (towers jam easily here with the # of people coming through so it can vary ... even in the same spot). no one bothered me. felt safe. Open til 11pm for bathrooms.

Report Check-In

Good to have a safe place, lots of driving today. Bought groceries and ready to relax!

Report Check-In

I work here…it’s not a campsite, you will get tagged and will be towed.

Report Check-In

Got in late around 11pm. West side of the parking lot for camping, tonnnn of campers here. I parked a little away from the building next to a few sprinter vans and had no issues! Felt super safe, definitely my most favorite Walmart yet. Just surrounded by a bunch of people like yourself! I didn’t have any issues during the night with loud noise like others but I think it’s cause of where I parked. Probably will be staying here another night. 10/10 recommend :)

Report Check-In

We stayed here for about 3 nights without a problem, including some winter weather with a bit of snow (not much accumulation, though). This is a large Walmart lot with a few campers parked in the west side of the building; some looked like they were living there! The views of the nearby canyon are beautiful. Good cellphone service too.

Report Check-In

Nice flat spot! Lots of overnight people in All kinds of rigs.

Report Check-In

Spent one night here before going to Yellowstone. Worked out well and was quiet for me. Keep to the west side of parking lot and no problem.

Report Check-In

You must stay in the west parking lot (left side of Walmart) or you’ll get a knock.

Report Check-In

Extremely hot summer night when we joined an unbelievable number of campers in all kinds of rigs. Unfortunately some were running their motors and generators all evening. Verizon and AT&T signals week; Walmart Wifi was really strong, but with all the noisy rigs nearby we couldn't park near enough to the building to access it.

Report Check-In

Overnight stay
Lots of rvs not to quite due to generator noise

Report Check-In

Tons of RVs and campers. Nice, clean store, too.

Report Check-In

Feels like a campground, but with wifi and running water! It’s nice to tuck in among all of the other adventurers, and it was quiet from 10PM until 8AM. Significantly quieter than the Spirit Road camp area nearby, where the trail rides start super early.

Report Check-In

Quite spot only one camper , spent one night here

Report Check-In

As said many times: hundreds of trailers and RVs, many of them noisy all night long. Just stay away of them!!!

Report Check-In

As described. We were more than 25 RVs/vans/trailers/cars ...
The cleaning maschine worked at 3 o'clock in the morning: terrible!!!
Walmart closed at 10 p.m.

Report Check-In

Lots of other RVs and vans. Many lights and quiet.

Report Check-In

Report Check-In

Good and quiet place for one night or more. Beautiful view on mountains. Only three other campervans with us.

Report Check-In

Parking Walmart calme. Peu de campings-car en avril. Faut dire que Yellowstone est encore fermé et aucunes activités à Cody. Accès wifi et toilettes.

Report Check-In

big parking lot, thousand of thousand camper, trailer and van.. just keep away from the big trailer because they keep the engine on all night, by the way it's safety place.

Report Check-In

Good for one night, we had no noise issues.
Walmart stays open till 12am and opens again at 6am.

Report Check-In

Standard Walmart Camping with lots of other rigs and even tents pitched on the grassy border of the parking. Walmart open 6am to 12pm.

Report Check-In

Quiet Walmart, good for one night.
A lot of other RV and trucks

Report Check-In

If there was not the machine that clean the parking lot every night, it would be very quiet. Lot of RV here.

Report Check-In

Best Walmart so far. Parking possible besides Walmart on the left, away from the road. Quiet and level.

Report Check-In
