passed with bicycle. all fine. passport copy. before reaching, I was informed by other hitchhikers that during and immediately after a storm the officers refused entrance saying that the road was not safe and had to be cleaned. though I have no details on which exact portion of the road (and which road exactly) had to be cleaned. just take that into account if you plan to cycle here during / after heavy rain downpours and storms - I have a feeling that there could be landslides.

A friend, who was hitchhiking his way from Amadi to Soran, was not allowed to pass. After insisting, the police organised a pick-up car for him from the checkpoint to Soran.
