Description

An excellent spot to camp for the night. Beautiful sunset with only the sound of a running water stream. One of the nicest spots that we have wild camped on our over 40k km journey through east and southern Africa.

They were some drunk locals, and a policeman and he didn’t let me camp here for my safety I think because it’s the weekend and locals came to have some drinks here 🙆🏻‍♀️

AMAZING wild camp surrounded by huge rocks. We saw many monkeys. Totally quiet & safe place. We stayed 2 nights. Really had a nice time there. Dont miss it ;)

Amazing wild camp spot, the rocks are just huge! We spend here 2 nights to enjoy the view a full day, totally worth it. One time tourists came and one time people of the village but we did not understand them as they only spoke Portugees.

We spent a very peaceful night at this wild campsite. There were some tourists late afternoon and when we woke up, everything around us was covered with mist

Very quiet night, alone, no traffic. Small river to take a shower and wash our clothes. The "chief" and "the policeman" came during the day but we didnt give nothing and let us quiet. Beautiful views. Perfect to camp !!!

Wouldn't recommend camping at this exact location. Rather head to the spot on the neighbouring rock, or just a little bit past the second footprint shelter. Beautiful evening views.
There was a "chefe" who first approached us at the stairs to the view point asking for money. We then went to check out the other campsites and on returning to the footprints he approached us again asking us for more money. We made a donation and then had a wonderful quiet evening.

Best wildcamp we had a in Angola. Super quiet and nice scenery. The village police chief came by for a quick wash in the creek. Didn’t bother us.

We camped for a night here in the footprint place. Nobody more there, we passed a very quiet night. Nice views.

Everything is already said. Sadly there is a lot of broken glass laying around...

We camped here, lovely spot. Martel and Rosa came around to wash in the river. He claimed to be the commander at the small police station and did not have any problem with us camping. He did ask for sigarettes or a drink which we politely refused.

This and the 'camp at stone' are basically the same place and you can walk between them in a few minutes. Camp at stone has a slightly better view but I prefer to camp this side because it's possible to be completely out of sight of the road and you get a bit longer shade in the morning.

Here you can see some Prints in the Stone that really look like Footprints. Origin not clear.
