Parking area next to YPF station (toilets, running water). Just next to river. Quite quiet, not bad for first night upon arrival , next to police station.
Why? By checking in after you’ve visited a place you let others know this place is still functional. You can also add or correct any information.
No OVERNIGHT anymore! If you ask in the YPF it's no problem to stay the whole day here.
Report Check-InNot the best night because in town but close to the center, free and safe. Do the job for one night
Report Check-InGreat place to spend the night. Walking distance from the city center and many shops.
Report Check-InRuta 40 was closed between Tres Lagos and Lago Cardiel so we had to, unexpectedly, return to Calafate.
Even though the parking lot is right next to the main road, at night it’s not noisy at all.
Bathroom closes between 9pm and 9am
Report Check-InWe came back for a third night because nothing beats free ypf parking spots with bathrooms :)
Report Check-InWe stayed for two nights and it was really quiet at night. The ypf bathrooms are closed at night and they open pretty late in the morning.
Maybe you can ask for the key, I didn’t dare to :)
Perfect location as it is right in the city center and close to everything.
We had to stay almost 2 Months in Calafate ( with pause) waiting fot our carparts, and we stayed behind the ypf with out popup camper. Small river there, fresh water to drink and wash, toilet and bin at the petrol station, aqua caliente non stop 😅,in the center close to the shops, bars. It can be loud during the night, mostly at the weekend. Place for 8-10 campers.
Report Check-Ina place to stay in the City. some Space AT night. spotlight and lot of noise. but you Can drink 😏
Report Check-InYes, nice place to stay there with motorhome if you wanna be in the downtown. There is just one "no tent" sign behind the petrol station around the back entrance, but the other places are free along the river ( around 6 motorhomes can park comfortably, or more smaller van). Toilet is at the ypl open, police is your neighbour, noone disturbs. A bit loud, but we had no problem with a baby to sleep. Windprotected!!!
Report Check-InYou can stay here overnight, there are plenty of other motorhomes behind the petrol station, along the small river. There is only one small sign in front of a door that you should not park right there ( crossed tent sign). Toilet is open , w
You are right in the town,of course a bit loud, the neighbour is the police and firestation.
Perfect for one or two nights. Town and La Anonima is in short walking distance.
Report Check-InGood place to sleep, behind the YPF, wind protection. Wifi close in the store of the gas station.
Report Check-InWe stayed here for 2 nights. Generally, it's a quiet place next to the river and just a few blocks from the center. The Wi-Fi signal from the cafeteria of the gas station, though, didn't reach there. All in all, we definitely recommend this place.
Report Check-InParking behind the petrol station. When we arrived it was busy and there was a sign that said “no camping.” The toilets were closed when we came by at 9pm. We moved onto a spot behind the old tourist office which is marked out on iOverlander. Free wifi from the restaurant across the street- we ate there and it was delicious!
Report Check-InNice parking behind the station, good wind cover, but toilets closed at 8:00pm. Good wifi signal from the station grocery shop, but they refused to give me the password, even showing then I've just filled up 1400 pesos! a bit noisy, just side the bridge, but ok. No shower, but you can go 2 blocks down to Ovejeros camping, and shower for 50 pesos
Report Check-InFine place for the night, we asked if it was okay when we filled up and they assured that it was. Quiet night, despite the fact that there was a massive music festival in town and everywhere was crazy. There were at least three vehicles camped out here.
Report Check-InConfirm it is still valid for small cars. There is a sign on the building that camping is not allowed. We asked and as long as we park on the riverside we are welcome. Toilets 24 hours. A bit noisy in january (high season). Free.
Report Check-InGood spot for one night or a few...quiet at the back of the service station and the graphic design shop. By the river. Recommend it!
Report Check-InParking area next to Ypf station(toilets, running water). Just next to river. Quite quiet, not bad for first night upon arrival , next to police station.
