Nice Camp, friendly owners Hennie and Veronica, - We took camp site No 3 to fit our camper with 2.90 meter. 220 Volt from Solar Power. Shower and toilet with scullery were clean and functional. It would be nice if the camp site had grass patches or any spot where to put chairs and table off the dark sand. The Boat trip on the Kwando was the highlight. Cold beer on the wooden deck at sundowners is a must. Price: N$ 220.00 per person is acceptable.

Report Check-In

Very friendly owners. Site 3 is good for trucks. We're almost 3.5m tall and over 2.2m wide. Site 4 was tempting but when we tried there were larger branches just too low for comfort.
If you want restaurant service you will need to book ahead, but the bar is open.
Red lechwe were visible from the campsite

Report Check-In

All as said below, but to repeat - the camp location is shown incorrectly on most mapping software. But the location on iOverlander and the signage on the road is correct. So don’t be tempted to turn left, keep straight on down the dirt track, until you are signed off to the right.
The campsite is delightful. Only minor gripe is that there is no drinking water and we were advised we could buy some from the bar, which seemed a little ungenerous given the price.

Lovely campsite with 3 sites with river view. All sites looked spacious with own ablutions (hot water with a donkey) and power (solar). Very quiet during the night. Beautiful deck next to the river and a bar. Small but very clean pool. Very friendly hosts. Highly recommended!

Report Check-In

Very nice spacious sites with views to Kwando River. Own clean toilet/shower with a donkey. Braai stand, electricity and water tap on site. Owners are very kind and helpful. Pet friendly. Approximately 20kms from Mudumu NP gate. 220NAD pp Recommended!

Another great camp. we chose the grassy camp across from reception. It was a very nice stay. The owners were very helpful. We visited a nearby park and saw a lot of animals. The pool is refreshing and loved watching the sunset in the lounge chairs provided. We had dinner our last night there and it was fabulous!

DON'T TURN WHERE GOOGLE MAP TELLS YOU TO!!! The road to turn on is 8.5km from the main road and, there is a sign at the road to follow from there.
we arrived in time to pick out our camp which is the grassy one across from reception, camp 5. If you have a rooftop tent, back in on grass carefully and don't let the tree limbs touch your tent or you'll be battling ants. There are 2 toilets and 2 showers at this camp so if you have more than 2 people, this one is perfect. The owner is very nice. He set of 2 lounger chairs on the lawn near the pool so we could enjoy the sunset. He's also doing pretty much everything right now, including cooking, because business has been slow due to Covid-19.
We stayed for 3 nights and must say it was very relaxing.
The pool is small and is built more like a hot tub with seats on both sides built in. Perfect for relaxing...😎

we spent a night here, the price is 195 ppn, really good for the prestations.
we arrive very late in the night, because of engine broken, tracted by another car. thé owner, Ennie, waited for us and helped us to install in campsite 5, the closest of the reception.
very fine campsite, ablutions ok, donkey showers, grass, Big trees.
thank you Eddie.

We spent 1 night here. Perfectly good camp but we had been spoilt at Nunda. Dusty camp with good ablutions, restaurant and bar, small swimming pool and friendly hosts

390nad for 2 persons on the campsite.
Very nice owner. A pretty view and we saw 15 hippos with sunset and sunrise.

Report Check-In

Quiet campsite by the river, we had campsite 1 which was a nice shady spot with lots of tree cover, private ablutions with do key shower which was lit for us as we arrived. Braai area, electricity and tap (not potable water). Beware of ants though. N$170pp

this camp is run by a lovely and most welcoming couple of Namibia.
We came in very late without reservation, the owners did everything in there power to arrange a delicious dinner for us.

This camp has a good internet compared with the rest of Caprivi. Also the deck and bar are the best places to be.

Due the personal contact with the owners and there 2 little doggies, we felt home!

Very nice large sites with private ablutions, sink, tap, electricity and shady. It overlooks Kwando River. Stayed at Camp 3 with views. Paid 170NAD pppn. Internet works reasonably well by pool/restaurant area, not on camps.30kms drive form Mudumu National Park. Shops and filling station some 10 mins drive in Kongola.

Report Check-In

Run by a couple. Camp site 3 large with 2 toilets and showers. Kitchen area, BRAII and shade by the river (not too much water now unfortunately) N$170 up to end November 2019.

Report Check-In

Beautifull and quiet campsite. About the restaurant; they only have kitchen staff if you have booked in advance. But they sell braaipacks (ND 60, 3 pieces meat) and firewood.

Report Check-In

Peaceful place hidden away right on the river bed. We really liked how each campsite had its own toilet and shower, in addition to a water tap and bbq. We stayed at the campsite right next to the pool, which is nothing special but a welcomed refresher after a long day of driving. They have a bar and restaurant with a lovely view, but we didn't eat there so could not speak on the quality or price.

There is security and someone who came in the morning to clean the bathrooms and at night to light the donkey boiler for hot showers.

Overall lovely first stop in Namibia:)

Price: N$175 per person.

As described below, beautiful campsites on the river. Great destination, worth staying a couple of nights.

Report Check-In

One of the best camps along the Kwando in my opinion. The Camp is situated along the Mukolo Channel, a back channel of the Kwando.

Veronica and Hennie are doing a great job.

Camps 1, 3 and 4 do have River view. Number 3 has even a wheelchair friendly bathroom. Some of the camps do have 2 bathrooms.

Everything is super clean and they do have a small Swimmingpool, also with river view.

They are extending the deck and make the bar area more spacious. Plenty of chairs to sit on the deck and enjoy the sunset.

Wifi is good working. Signal with MTC is weak, mostly EDGE, sometimes it picks 3G.

As soon as it’s getting dark and the guests crawl into the tents, you will hear the hippos walking around and listen to their movements. If you are lucky you will also spot a croc during the day, or hear the lion roaring at night.

Camping is 170 $N pppn. Cash or credit card.

Comparing to other camps along the Kwando, Mukolo is definitely a really good deal.

Easy to access, no 4x4 required. Close to Kongola.

Very nice and big campsite at the river with own ablution and hot shower in the morning and evening, fireplace and washing facilities. There a 5 campsites and 6 self catering huts. Nice communal area with bar with reasonable prices. Very friendly owners, hab a wonderful time chatting to them. They offer food, cold drinks and boat cruises!
Camping for 170 ND pppn. Highly recommended!

Report Check-In

Very nice bush camp owned by a lovely older couple Henny and Veronica who also live here, do the cooking and are your hosts. 5 private campsites (some on the river) at N$170 pp with own toilet, shower (donkey is fired evening and morning for hot water), washing area and braai etc. Electricity at sites but not for kettles or hair dryers so this is not the place for the luxury campers but a true bush camp overlooking the reeds with Lechwe grazing! There are several cabins and family cottages as well.
I really enjoyed having dinner (N$160-180) with them in the evenings and doing a river boat trip for N$400 for 3 hours. For me as a solo traveler this feels like visiting distant family and spending a couple of days to wash, read, chat to Henny and relax in quietness as I was the only one here but they do get groups of Dutch tourists and mostly SA groups with their excessive caravans and 4x4 trailers and loudness so in other times this might be a place I wouldn’t really enjoy as much.

Very nice campsite at the river Kwando. Campsites are big with privat ablusion and a donkey who brings hot water. The water is not drinkeble and smells to iron and is brownish. So you washing will be smelling. Electricity point and light and watertap on the site.
You have a nice view on the river and at night, if you are lucky, Humphrey the hippo will kiss you good night.
