Début octobre, nous avons eu également droit au contrôle de police. Ils nous reprochent de rouler sans phare, ce qui n’était pas correct. Nous avons demandé à voir l’image avec la caméra de notre véhicule en faute. Photo que nous n’avons pas pu voir. Ils nous ont finalement laissé repartir sans rien payer.

fomos parados e duas policiais revistaram nosso motorhome. olharam tudo, abriram armários, bolsas, perguntaram nossas profissões, mas foi super tranquilo.

we were stopped and two policewoman checked our motorhome. they looked everything, inside cabbages and bags, and asked some questions about us. but it was very ok.

Police was there, but waved us through. The evening before we stopped at the side of the street to Alcaraz for overnight. The police came and only asked if everything is okay and gave us for emergency the number of the police in Entre Rios 101. Very very friendly!

General note with reference to police check points in this area. Having read all the notes on iOverlander we approached today’s journey with trepidation, however we were pleasantly surprised, no requests for ‘fines’ etc. That said, today was the only second time we’ve been asked for driving license and vehicle documents in 2 years at a police checkpoint in South America. Each police checkpoint was a significant delay as the police officers admired the Land Rover Discovery, right hand drive, automatic and air suspension and on one occasion wanted to look inside the caravan, which elicited ‘very beautiful’ in English. All very polite, happy days.
Postscript: We spoke to a tour guide yesterday and he told us that an English man secretly filmed a corrupt police checkpoint and it made the National TV, which effectively stopped the corruption overnight. Result.

Also here they wanted to fine us for having bicycles on the back of our car. Or it is really a rule here, or the previous policepoint contacted this policepoint. Again we took our documents, denied the request of the policy to stay and quickly took off without paying.
