Beautifully located on the shores of Lake Victoria. The road there is pretty good, especially while it's rainy season now. Make sure to look out for the signs, which are old and not obvious. If you follow googlemaps: the first sign from the main road is is few kilometres more south, towards the western gate of the Serengeti. We could pick any place we wanted. There is the possibility to make use of the toilet / warm shower in one of the cabins. The cabin we used was not in great shape but very nice to use. Owners are very friendly and helpful. Camp spots with beautiful view over the lake and sunset and nicely shaded under the trees. We saw some hippo footsteps but didn't see any, and felt safe while we sat right on the shore. well recommended.

We stayed there for two nights. Payed 20.000p.p.p.n. We traveled by rooftop tents and used the shower and electricity in the bedded rooms. The hostess was very kind and helpful. Only cash. Power was there but took a while till it started. The next day we had power all day. Camping is Right next to the See some mosquitos at night and there was a hippo next to us at one night but left the next one.
Nice stay would recommend before going to Serengeti

Report Check-In

Camp is right on Lake Victoria. We got charged 15000 per person. Lots of locals around and children who sit close to the car and watch you the whole time. They open one of the rooms so you can use the bathroom. Good spot for a one night stop over

beautiful shaded campsite on the shores of lake victoria, under tall trees. Magnificent view and sunset.
Price 17000 tzs negotiated at 15000 tzs/pppn.

A beautiful camping are good for ground tents and RTT with shade, gravel and lawn just on the shores of lake Victoria. The caretaker goes out of her way and is very easy going. Possible to link up electricity with long cable, gives a key to a chalet for hot shower and toilet plus use if a covered are in case of rain. Basic but tranquil. Fishermen nearby. Phone connection for Internet hit and miss. 15 mins from western gate of Serengeti. Official price 17k P. P. P. N but negotiable. We ended staying for 3 nights

Report Check-In

Nice place right at the Lake with great views to Lake Victoria. Peaceful place, few fishermen around the day but no one bothered us. Friendly caretaker lady. We used a bungalow for toilet and cold shower. Negotiated 15000 Tsh/pppn, didn’t get a lower price than that, but it was OK. Maps.me will get you to the right place without any problems. Great place to chill out a few days after Serengeti. Quite windy, though, being right at the lake shore. But still a good value.

Report Check-In

Agree that this is a lovely setting and a great spot for the sunset. No beach at present as the water level is high. Keep the bathroom locked and the key with you as day visitors will otherwise use the bathroom and pee everywhere but in the toilet..
A guy might try to sell you his 2 tortoises.

Nice stay directly at Lake Victoria, about 10mins from Ndabaka Gate and a few 100m away from a small village. Drive left after the last bridge (old sign there), otherwise you end up in the middle of the village just like we did. Friendly lady who speaks some English, price 17'000 TZS per person (we found that ok, given the location & closeness to Serengeti). Opened one of the new huts for toilet (western) and shower (cold). Stunning sunset and nice, relaxed and mostly quiet atmosphere. Children watching from the entrance to the place but not coming inside.

Nice friendly local campsite. the bungalow for the shower was clean and working. Nice lakeview!
personally I think best place to go after serengeti

Report Check-In

Lovely location by the lake. We are keen birdwatchers and I've never seen so many different species of birds in one place!
Toilet and shower in one of the rooms was very good and had hot water. Poor Vodacom signal. Not sure why but soooo many bugs around at night. Not a private campsite as locals use the place as access to the lake. Camping we paid Tsh15,000.

Report Check-In

One of the most beautiful campsite we visited. Continue about 6km north from Ndabaka gate you will see the camp signpoint. You can connect to electricity in one of the rooms or in the seating area. Good Vodacom signal. shower and toilet in one of the rooms. Very welcome stuff.

Lovely place. Friendly. Paid 17.000 adult and 5.000 for kids. Got to use the showers in a bungalow. Cooked ourselves. Lake is beautiful.

Report Check-In

Friendly people, great place for the kids to explore. We were given a Banda to use the bathroom. Unfortunately, the beach has disappeared due to rising water levels. 17,000TZS for the adults, kids pay half.

We like this place and camped for 2 days. The lady asked for 17000 Tsh but we negotiated to 10000Tsh. Great grassy camp site on the lake. Cold showers, but clean with sit down toilet. You use the toilets in one of the new cottages.

Report Check-In

The place is now officially run by some local guys. It looks nice and there are some newly built cottages at the beach.

We checked it out but didn’t feel the vibe and the price of $20pppn was a bit too much so we kept looking.

Good stopover if you’re on the way to Serengeti, 10 minutes from the gate.
