Description

FREE!! We stayed overnight right at the beach at the parking of the Hotel Playa Venao & Resort, Bar & Restaurant. There also is a shower that you can use if you drink or eat something at the bar. It's in front of the surf and volleyball.
It's a great place to stay!
They might charge $20/day for parking during high season (mid December-March).
Important: there only is one Mini Mart here with very high prices (1L water $3) So I'd recommend to stock up before you go here!

We spent three quiet and safe nights here. It is a free public parking. There are no facilities, +mobile works well. The village supermarket is a bit expensive. Ideal beach for surfing

We spent here a night as other place was too muddy and strong salt wind. Without any problem, calm and safe. Ocean is rough for swimming. Great for surfing.

we arrived on Friday and in the evening after we went to bed the music started from the night club next to the parking lot. loud techno and house music was played all night long, it didn't stop until 7am, so unless you go to this nightclub yourself I wouldn't recommend to go to this spot at the weekend.

We stayed here almost for a week. Great place, quiet, safe, free, right in front of the beach.

awesome place to stay! the waves are fantastic, the locals very friendly and helpful. Daniel let us charge our devices, Avi at the boat repair even cut some wood. water is available at "camino viejo" next to the trash container at the bus station.

Around the corner of the Mini Market in the same building are sold fresh, organic and local fruits, veggies and eggs.

and if you follow the river at "Camino Viejo" you'll find some small waterfalls and a nice hiking trail with river crossings. 4wd might be possible but very challenging.

get's crowded at the weekend but we loved every second here.

We just spent a night here, great views of the bay. Bar opens at 12pm during the week, 10am in the weekends. There are toilets, an outdoor shower and wifi for customers (pass: miagarcia2016). Prices are normal for Playa Venao. It's ok to sleep here during the week. For the weekend it might get crowded and noisy. Expect some electronic parties in El Sitio, right next to this parking spot.
