We also didn’t have any problems with filling directly into our tank (Diesel). Didn’t get the local price though, but it was pretty close (4 Bs.)

got diesel here straight in the tank without any problems for the local price. we gave a 10bol tip. we have noticed they are more inclined to give you fuel if you don't need a huge amount.so we try to fill up our tank when half empty

Don't take your fuel for granted. On the previous day all the gas stations we passed had run out of Diesel. Today there were huge lines at all the rest. By the time we got to this one we had to fill up ( the other two stations in town were closed or had similarly long lines). Had to wait 2 1/2 hours since basically every single farmer in the region decided to stock up on fuel. Halfway in the they ran out of petrol but luckily for us they still had Diesel Don't know if this is a regular thing or maybe just because of harvesting. Just wanted to make sure you guys appreciate your fuel whenever you get it.

By the time we were at the pump the lady refused to sell to us given our US plates. Having waited so long and with an empty tank I stayed persistent and refused to go. She wanted me to talk to some nonexistent manager but i stayed put. In the end she gave in and even kept the local price....I would have payed whatever money at this point so she received a good propina.

they sold me petrol for my motorbike no questions asked in local price.

Wouldn't let us tank but we could fill our jerrycans for local price. Bano and shower next door - ask around as the obvious ones right by the gas station were apparently closed?
