Peru
Nice campground 1 hour from Chiquisca at the bottom of the river. Water and bathrooms available-bring water tablets. THEY DO SERVE FOOD! breakfast/lunch and diner like all the camping from Cachora to Machu Pichu.
Very friendly staff here. Nice food too.

Perfect place to camp before climbing until Choquequirao ruins. There are lot of flat spaces, and you can even camp inside (but it's messy and dirty).
We didn't find water, so make sure you have enough to cook.
Everything is abandoned, but there is still fresh water flowing and the ground is still flat, so you can stop there but it's true that there is quite a lot of trash around, and some horse poop
Report Check-InThis site is still closed, completely abandoned. It looks like a ghost town. However, there are a few covered places that provide good shade and a break after the steep descent before you start climbing back up the other side. You can’t access the river, but we found a water hose from a spring up the mountain to refill our water.
If you are going from here up to Chiquisca, consider waiting until 3pm to make the climb up. At that time (at least in November), the sun dips behind the mountain and the trail is cool and shady.
This place is still closed. Campground but no services. Water in the river is good. Strong river at the moment.
Report Check-InThis place is closed! but it's good opportunity to reload water and relax
Report Check-InThis place is closed now. You can still camp there but no services at all and no water excepted from the Apurimac river.
