Costa Rica
None of the spots in Alajuela worked for us so we splurged. It was hard to find a place that had secure parking in town though. This place has a secure lot that our 3.2m tall 8m long rig fit in down the side. Entrance and parking on Avenida 3. We paid $66 all in a night for a double room with AC and breakfast. Good Wi-Fi, decent breakfast and nice location with a parque across the street. Staff speaks English and the manager, Freddy, us very helpful. Lots of shops, fast food and restaurants nearby.

The hotel staff said they changed parking lots. The lot is still on the same street, right next to the hotel, however, it was a tight fit for our van because all of the unreserved parking is angled and meant for shorter vehicles. We had noted our vehicle size in our online reservation but they hadn't seen it ahead of our arrival so we ended up parking parallel taking up two spaces, which staff said was okay because they weren't full. If you book here, make sure to arrange ahead of time for your vehicle size to ensure you won't have difficulty.
