Beautiful, quiet hilly area of the high desert between Christmas Valley and Fort Rock. Lots of spots to camp, a few with rock fire rings. many trails to explore for hiking, biking. Super quiet and no one knows you are here! Cell service weak but usable, Verizon and T-Mobile are present.

Nice spot. Didn't spend the night here, but seems like a perfect spot to do so. We just drove in to walk up to the top. First mile is gravel, then it becomes dusty, but still solid enough to drive with a normal 2WD. After the wooden fence it gets more uneven and rocky, and there's less room to park or turn, so we parked there and walked up (about 1 hour) from there. With high clearance 4WD you could continue further. Bring plenty of water.
