Better than expected for a free campsite. Clean, modern, well-maintained.

We went to the police to register but a young female officer was confused about this and said it is not needed (not sure if she just did not know or if this is no longer needed).

So we just went and set up camp. Later in the night a security guard with a flashlight did a tour but did not knock or bother us in any way.

Sink with water tap where you can connect your own hose. Excellent water pressure.

Had a quiet night, felt very safe, no issues at all.

Parking at the designated sites is not great for Starlink due to the tall trees but towards site #4 there is a larger clearing which helps a lot. The dish has oriented itself towards the street.

Surprisingly not so many mosquitoes.

Everything is fine as described but I think it depends on the nationality they let you stay longer, we were allowed only one night, they do not accept to stay Uruguayans

Não é na polícia que faz o cadastro, é com a guarda parque. Fomos até a polícia e disseram que não precisava nenhum cadastro, aí às 21h passou uma segurança do parque que pediu nossos documentos e tirou foto.
Não havia eletricidade porque estão em reforma. Mas pudemos usar a churrasqueira, pia e banheiros (sem chuveiro).

4 places with a roof, large table, benches, sink with water, electricity and large grill. When we arrived a man who worked at the site came to us and when we asked him he said there was no need to register us. At around 9 p.m. a security lady came. She took a photo of our IDs and clarified everything for us so that we could stay for 4 nights. A great place, quiet and free.

Nice quiet place, no one around but still open and electricity/water works even in low season. It's a 5 min walk to the police station where you should get registered. (I'm sure they won't even notice if you didn't go, but it's better to let them know you're visiting) and it's free!

Lugar perfeito, tranquilo e silencioso...
tem energia, água potável, banheiros limpos, mesas e churrasqueiras, pode acampar e dormir com motorhome, basta fazer um cadastro na recepção que é uma casinha bem na entrada.

Estivemos acampados no Parque Zoo por uma noite (09/01/2019). O lugar é muito bom. Trata-se de um parque municipal onde é permitido acampar sem custo, basta fazer um cadastro com a polícia que fica a 100m do parque. Possui banheiros mas não chuveiros... O local para camping é próximo a alguns quiosques com lugar para fazer fogueira, luz, mesa e água potável.

Great place to stop by during your trip: there are potable water, electricity, bbq grill, restroom (no shower) and it's clean! The gates and the restroom close from 10pm to 6:30am. People use this area to go camping or just to do bbq. We got there about 5pm and it was empty, then few hours later the 3 bbq areas (where you can find electricity and light) were occupied. It's free, you just need to register yourself at the police station near the park.

We stayed 2 nights and for us it was the perfect spot to prepare our car for the shipping back home. Water, power and a roof at every picnic/bbq area - everything we needed. Very relaxing and quiet - thanks a lot for sharing!

Great spot! the zoo seems to be closed but toilets are clean. Go to near police station before come to park. very friendly and secure. No shower.

Very nice place. Has four covered tables with electrical, lights and water. Large open area for other vehicles if there all taken. Bathrooms are pretty clean but basic. People were very nice and helpful and the police were as well. It’s a great place to camp for a night or four!

Really amazing! As described, beautiful location and all free. Now you have to register at the policestation with your documents, the guard will tell you where it is, you can park first and go by foot, all easy and friendly. Highly recommended.

I would never discovered this place if ioverlanded never existed! Great place, great location and its FREE. Barbecue area with a table. Running water and plug. The mujer that welcomed us was so lovely. Big up!!!! Please take 5 mins to pick up some rubbishes on the ground.

Municipal leisure park where you can overnight for free. Includes potable water and electricity. Park guard asked us to check in at the police station which is nearby, which we did. Toilets at the entrance. No showers but you can easily wash yourself at one of the taps distributed throughout the park. Highly recommended for a night or two.

Nous avons dormi 2 nuits dans ce park. très calme. Wc propre, eau, électricité, barbecue, gratuit. Il y a dans le village une carnicéria où l'on trouve la meilleure viande que nous ayons mangée depuis 11 mois en Amérique du sud.
