Description
Dimitri is a local man living near the forest reserve. The government is sending away all the villagers from the NP and don't offer jobs to them. He is organising a flat area next to his house and is able to take you for a 14km round trip in the jungle to see gorillas, elephants, and chimpanzees for about 25-30usd And when the flat area will be ready you could camp there. He only speaks French, and he is trying to make a living. This is his number, and it is better to call a couple of days in advance. Adenge Dimitry :

Important: we did not camp there, but in the nearby gravel pit about 1km North and we did not walk with him in the jungle as we saw gorillas already, as well as in the morning a family on a tree

I went with these guys and they are just simple hunters trying to make some extra cash. I saw more dead then life animals to be honest. Wasnt very happy about it
Report Check-InEverything said in the other comments. Totally worth the stop and you're able to pitch your tent and spend the night. Heard some gorillas and saw chimps next to the road!
Report Check-InWe paid 7000cfa per person for 3 hours tour in the deep muddy forest with Dimitri and another hunter. They know the forest perfectly, can teach about hunting, animals. Really welcoming. Speak french. They also proposed a 8h tour, sleeping in tent close to animal water spot, but you need to pay porters and have your own camping material. It was really wouahou experience, we won't forget it ! And also great to give money to locals instead of americans of the parc...
