Report Check-In

Passamos 3 dias nesse lugar.

We spent 3 days in this place. As said in other reviews, it is a large place, with lots of space, a water tap. There is just a train that passes by all day long and you can hear it, and also many people who come to exercise and play football on the court. Other than that, it is very quiet and you can sleep well, with plenty of space. However, I need to warn you that there are many homeless people who live around the block. No one bothered us, but one night, while we were in the car, someone was trying to pull down a tent that we had attached to our roof. As it is stuck, he couldn't get it out and it made noise. We knocked on the door from the inside (we didn't open it), and the man stopped talking, saying he was looking for someone else and then left. He didn't make any threats and no one else came near our car after that, but I'll leave you with the situation that happened.

We stood here one night with 3 other campers and it would have been even better. It is a pleasant 1.5km walk to town. The site is clean, the police patrol, it was quiet from 9pm to about 5.30am. Before and after you hear the train (but don't bother) and the athletes. We found it perfect for a city visit.

spent 2 nights here, nice spot, 1 entrance/exit for vehicles, park in front of the big hill right at the beginning on the bitumen and you don't hear any trains, police patrol time to time even at late evening, some homeless people sleep in the covered futsal/basketball court but they seem harmless, I gave them some bananas, there's potable water tap, and toilet/shower open during sporting matches/training, cold shower no cubicles, went as soon as game started so I didn't bother anyone and had the place to myself, left the rig for the day while visiting san jose and no issues upon return, quiet good spot

Report Check-In

Had a good night sleep at the location , walking distance to the main areas of SJO so no need to look for parking near downtown, seems it’s open all the time and it has about 3 different entrances with no doors to be closed , we felt very safe , during the late afternoon there where teams training and had a nice ambience , at night a bit chilly and it’s just under the pass of the train transport, he announces every time he goes cause there’s people and traffic going over the rails all the time , but the route stops on time for a good sleep and it didn’t bother us much in the morning

Excelente spot. Muy tranquilo y seguro.
Es plano para aparcar y dormir cómodo

Report Check-In

Huge park, under street level and surrounded by river & nature. No street noise, very quiet during the night, people training during the day.
Bathrooms are open during the day, but running water is available all the time.
Very safe, well illuminated spots and areas with security cameras.
For sure the best informal campsite in San Jose.
Stayed here 4 nights in a row without problem.

pour le weekend super endroit un peu plus haut près de la ligne de chemin de fer, juste à côté de la police, pas de parcmètre et pas de train, mais impossible en semaine.

Report Check-In

Seems safe and lots of people during the day. I felt comfortable to stay and sleep there, but would not leave my rig there unattended which is a shame because it's so close to so many downtown attractions.

We stayed here one night after playing ultimate disc (frisbee) with the local San Jose team. Really quiet. Police went past a lot with lights but no one disturbed us.
