Tanzania
This was a fantastic find. On the road to Lake Victoria there are few options for overnight stops. None of the wild camp options worked out for us and the hotels in each town were expensive and run down. We were driving along and spotted a sign for this campsite so did a u-turn and came in to have a look.
The campground itself is clean, spacious and well kept with flat, grassy ground. The people are friendly and helpful and were delighted to see us.
The cost is $10 per car (two people). We couldn’t have asked for more.
The only downside is that there are little in the way of facilities. There are no bins and no water on the campsite. The toilets belong to the bar/restaurant and are squat toilets. The kind manager offered to let us use his room which had a western toilet but no shower - only the hose that you regularly find next to the toilet.
But all in all we were safe and secure in a quiet and well kept campsite and were completely happy. Recommended.

Campground is safe and well spaced, right off the main road. Lots of campsites, toilets (squat only) to use, and no showers. There is a bar that serves drinks and was playing the football and the owner is very friendly.
There is a little road noise from the trucks going past at night, but much quieter if you camp up at the back of the campsite.
They are in the process of digging a well to have water available for showers and more toilets.
