Clean site on dirt. Good ablutions although the septic tank does have a little whiff occasionally. Nearby road noise is a little disturbing but ok for one night.

A basic clean and quiet camp. No grass I couldn't get and tent pegs into the ground.
The showers were hot.
Only about 6# sites but two toilets and showers. But ample.
Bring long extension leads if you want electricity.
They charge per site, not per person.

nice simple place, great to see the stars. wifi is good & fast ..! city close by get all supplies or restaurant. I was charged 200r for one person or they forget to give me change 😂😂..

In 2023 the price ist still ZAR 100 pP. The WiFi works only nearby the owners house at the moment. But the WiFi shall work everywhere soon at the campsite according to the owner.

Nice peaceful camping facilities just outside Calvinia. Private ablution with powerpoint. Limited shade. Chalets also available.

This is on the outskirts of town and the main road is noisy at night with trucks going past. Roosters think sunrise is at 3am and get a bit noisy. Really nice bathrooms, not a bad stay for R200. a site but would give preferred something further out of town.

Great place for overnight stop, very friendly owner, excellent ablution with clean hot showers with was super after extremely cold but very quiet night, 200 for 2 pax

Will use this place only if desperate for a campsite and its been a long day and elsewhere is fully booked. Welcoming and friendly owner but nothing else to recommend. Hot shower and electricity available. R200 per site. Wood R60 for a large bag.

As describe above, ablutions are very good. Fortunately I’m the only camper so the loo is all mine.

Plessent quiet night. No wind. Hot shower in the morning.
We did hear the trucks early evening but quite down during the night.
Friendly staff.

Wanted 150 rand for one person which is steep. Woken at 4:40am by rooster and chickens, various other birds chatting away. Too cold to shower though water seemed hot. Wished I’d bush camped.

Small B&B that also hosts a few campers on a small courtyard. Friendly people, very clean ablutions, hot showers. That last item was really nice because it was freezing during the night! The alleged 180° view is something I didn't find but the surroundings are nice indeed. 200 rand per site or 100 rand if you're alone like me. Braaistands available. electricity too but bring a long extension cord. Wifi was unusable because very slow. Great place to stay for 1 night.

Just outside Calvinia on little sheep farm camping and B&B. Clean ablution, few trees to provide shade. Wifi. 180 degrees unobstructed view on the Karoo.
Big Rigs can get in and the Campsite is big enough if you're alone..
price is R160 for 2 ppn
