Naromoru River Lodge | Established Campground

Camping should be 19USD but we got the residential rate of 1700KES just for asking. Campsite a bit off the lodge, a bit run down obviously not much in use anymore. Hot shower with low water pressure, aftican style toilets.
Nice Lodge with restaurant and pool (500 KES)

Asked 1700pp, agreed on 1400pp.
A bit expensive but very quiet and private space for camping one or 2 nights. Only squat toilets but hot shower worked. You arr left alone on the land away from the lodge wich is quite nice and unusual in Kenya.
Didnt see any monkeys. Very friendly lady at the reception.
The lodge is more a 100$ a night kind of place, just to precise considering the previous comment. It seems like a nice place so no wander why they ask such high price.
The camping area is definitly not at the same standards as the lodge but still its nice, plenty of space if there more than one car, and the grass was, if not green, nice enough.

The lodge itself is really nice and in a good state. But we were a little disappointed by the campsite. It has everything. But the lush, beautiful, green garden is only a the lodge… the campsite is currently sandy and a bit dirty. Not bad. But not what you would expect after the reviews.
I would recommend staying at the lodge (no idea about the price though). Campsite is a 5 minute walk from the lodge.
Lodge has a clean swimming pool and a affordable restaurant.

Camp site has good facilities but not very clean.

Nice place. 1200 Ksh pppn. Swimmingpool not included, 300 Ksh pp. Good restaurant. Firewood 600 Ksh.

Wonderful campsite. View of Mount Kenya, birds, Colobus monkeys. Warm shower, squat toilets: clean. They asked 19 USD pp, but when we said we usually pay 1000 KES pp, they agreed. Very friendly staff en well kept garden around lodge. We could hook up to the electricity in the campsite kitchen.

Beautiful place with lots of facilities like a spa, squash room, swimming pool etc and a wonderful service. They have a nice bar and restaurant with good food (try the samosa’s!) and you can play pool and darts here. From out of the window you can see Colobus Monkeys jumping through the trees. The camping is quit and peaceful. We got some wood to make our own fireplace and had a great self-made meal from the camping kitchen. We liked it so much that we stayed another night. WiFi is good at the reception/restaurant area and the laundry was perfectly done. And they organize trekkings to Mt. Kenya too.

Really enjoyed this campsite, clean, hot showers, nice restaurant and staff woke up to a view of Mt Kenya $14 pppn camping

Indeed it is 18$pppn but it is a lovely resort with kitchen facilities, hot showers and flush toilettes. The staff is very friendly and at the bar they serve a reasonable priced bar Menue (big beef burger with cheese, fries and cole slaw for 550 KSH). We enjoyed our stay.

Overpriced at $18pppn, and very basic. $10 would be more appropriate. They also wanted to charge to let us use the pool. WiFi doesn't work at campground, but good 3G.
