Camping right next to the rock paintings! Very nice spot next to the guards office. Very friendly guy who says people camp here all the time so no problem. They do ask 10.000 ush per night and there are no facilities. Some people living nearby and some traffic as well, but everybody left us alone, except for an occasional hello.

The caretaker spotted our rooftop tent and knew we wanted to camp. We registered and had some downtime before going on a tour of the paintings. The flush toilets was locked and so there was only a long drop with a door that didn't quite shut. The sink with running water was available though.
Report Check-InPleasant place for one night if you're interested in ancient rock art. Price as of June 2022 for foreigners is 15,000 UGX pp for visiting the paintings with a guide. After that the caretaker asked for 10,000 UGX pp for camping (which he probably keeps for himself). Flush toilets (quite dirty) are now available but no showers. Locals do pass very close but no one asked for anything. Good Airtel mobile internet.
