Pull off beside the old Pony Express Road, at the foot of mountains near Lookout Pass. Fire ring, trees for shade. There is a dip between the road and campsite so wouldn't work for big rigs or anything towed. BLM land, no cellphone coverage or amenities.
We stayed on the way back to SLC after checking out the Dugway Geode Beds. Some traffic in the early evening but quiet after dark.
