Description

Level grassy parking lot on the eastern side of the pyramid. There are three lots to chose, I stayed on the middle one, old lady manages the spot. Agreed on 150 MXP/night.
No infrastructure. Good, convenient location, five minutes walk to the pyramid or, the other way, to lots of restaurants.
Very quiet, a police patrol (car with officer) was based on the access street 24hrs. Not sure about tent camping, but might be worth a try.
NOTE: Entrance to all three parking lots is on 12 Poniente, no entry access on 3 Norte or 10 Poniente.

Lovely and quite spot to sleep in Cholula, close to the city center and next to the pyramids. 150$ per night (mention that to the guy there, he wanted to charge us 200$). The family lives next door and is very nice and attentive. The toilets are clean (they cleaned one for us when we arrived), but no showers yet. WiFi worked well.

Report Check-In

Grave lot, no issues parking for the day and night for 150 MXN. Clean enough toilets with soap/TP, no shower. Very empty on a Tuesday, but I imagine it gets crazy on the weekends here.

Report Check-In

Great place so close to the pyrmidos. $150mxn to park overnight. Super clean bathrooms. The place is run by a sweet old lady and her family. Close to many restaurants too. Highly recommend.

Report Check-In

Simple gravel lit, but surrounded by plants, cacti, and flowers. Bathrooms were super clean. The two women from the family we worked with were awesome. Surprisingly quiet night! Empty while we were here. We fit easily at about 22 ft in our sprinter. This is the easiest location to walk from to get to restaurants, and up the hill toward the church. We ended up walking the streets, doing a complete circle around the church at sunset, seeing it from all sides as it is lit up. Tons of people walking dogs and running in the parks around the church. Sunset was great. You can see the church from the parking lot. They gave us the Wi-Fi, which worked in the front seat of our rig when we parked against the wall, right by the black door. There was a covered area with tables where you could sit and eat or play cards. Highly recommend! 150pesos total for all four of us and the van.

Report Check-In

Seems to be the only parking lot that doesn't close you in at night. The owners live nextdoor, are extremely friendly, and will arrange whatever you need. Toilets are kept clean and wifi password is provided.

Report Check-In

Gravel parking lot, not grassy. On the right side of the road. Clean toilets, no showers, 150mxp per night. Felt safe, it was quiet. You are right in the centre

Report Check-In

One of many parking places around here. We arrived on a Sunday and a couple of grassy car parks said no to overnight parking. Today is now Monday and the grassy car parks are closed and gates locked, and access to the pyramid is closed on Monday’s. Hence probably why they said no. This car park is not fenced at the front , except for a chain so you are not actually locked in for the night. It seems safe to us, clean & today, and gray stones to park on. They charged us 100 peso per night, sorry we are not ones for haggling as they need it more than we do. A great spot as per other descriptions to access sites on foot.

La dame nous a demandé 250 pesos pour 24 heures, non négociable. Nous ne sommes donc pas resté

As TucksTruck said, parking entrance is at Poiente 12. We are parked for the night on the right side. Other 2 were closed. Eric the gate keeper said we have to be gone by 9 am. It’s ok here for a night.

Quiet spot for a town centre park-up. Choose one of three carparks next to each other and negotiate a price. We paid 120 pesos for 24 hrs at the first one. NOTE: entrance to all of them is on 12 Poniente at/near 19°03′26.02″N 98°17′56.82″W, no entry access on 3 Norte or 10 Poniente.

so there is a bit of confusion between three different spots where you can pay for parking with kind of these coordinates, so I just post here.

we first went to the one with the painted wall (which should be 50 per night, 100 for 24 hours). nobody was there and the new toilets were closed, so we left to the grassy one just adjacent to it. the friendly guy asked for 150 pesos for parking until the next day 3 pm (clean toilets with running water all night, fence is closed and locked in evening, 100% safe). I asked if 120 are OK and he aggreed. later that day we also saw an overlander family in an RV parking for free on the parking lot with the painted wall. The whole area feels very safe. also, you can use the toilets from the adjacent grassy one for 5 pesos if you are not parking there.

Report Check-In

We stay three nights here and charged us MXN 100/24 h. There is an option only night by MXN 50. No shower but we can used electricity and fill our water tank.

Very quiet at night safe and cheap great view on the church and volcano!
50 pesos for a camper for the night until noon ! Really recommended ! Police in front of the parking during the night!

Report Check-In

PERFECT CHEAP PARKING 50p night until noon! 40p day! Owner is so friendly and you have nice view on church and volcano!
You have bathroom and a large grassy area!
This is THE SPOT to stay if you visit Cholula! 5 minutes from piramides entrance! Don't go to the other parking lot, they're more expensive and they change price everyday!
Very quite at night !

Report Check-In

we parked on the parking lot to the right instead of the ones on the left. hot showers and clean bathrooms for $100 for the night and following day.

on the left, the middle one with grass was 150 and we had to be out by 7am. the first one with the painted wall didn't have anyone around so maybe could have parked for free with access to bathroom and water, police parked outside all day and night so very safe.

Report Check-In

We parked at the first parking lot on the left when you enter the street (the place with the painted wall). An old friendly man managed the area and asked for 40 Peso/Day and 40 Peso/Night - in total 80 Peso.
Toilets right on the area.
Good walking distance to the pyramid, center of Cholula and plenty of restaurants.

Report Check-In

We entered on the parking lot and a woman came and asked us. So she called her boss and he said it will be 100/camper/night + 50 pesos/camper/day...
We decided not to stay especially because the parking wasn’t nice at all.
We just went 200 m away from here and found an other parking, nice, clean, with an amazing view on the pyramid and close to the amazing game area. The four kids were incredibly happy. I added it to iOverlander, much better than this parking.

Report Check-In

Great little spot. We park on the lowest parking lot, on the left when you enter the street. Very friendly old guy let us park overnight for 50 pesos. Lots of construction workers parking here during the day (until 6 pm) then empty. Really nice toilets and sinks. Starbucks a few minutes away for the morning coffee!!

Report Check-In

Several no frill pay lots in area. We parked and vehicle camped in the one at top of hill directly facing the colorful San Andres Cholula sign. Paid $80MX per night for two people.Which we negotiated down from 760 MX! No electricity, water, or bathrooms. As stated before, there is a 24 hour police vehicle parked in area. We made friends with both officers and found them friendly and helpful and felt very safe having them there. Safe easy walk to plenty of good restaurants and bars. Slept here on night of a large earthquake, felt our jeep strongly bouncing. The police officer took the time to check on our safety before rushing off to town to check things out.

Report Check-In

We parked here to visit the pyramid and park only with our Tacoma/4-wheel camper. Parking was $30 pesos; however another guy came by and wanted to charge us $80 and was clearly upset with the guy who charged us only $30. Many parking options (maybe 5 in the general area). Overnight parking available here as well. No dogs allowed into the ruins otw the park area is fine.

Report Check-In

We stayed in the lowest, gravel/grass lot next to the building on the South side of the road. We were charged $80mex per night for two people and a truck camper.

No services, but really close to everything. There is a running track and soccer field a few blocks to the south with free bathrooms that opens at 6am on weekdays.

Also only a few blocks from tons of good restaurants and from the tourist train that runs from Cholula to Puebla's railway museum. The train is brand new and excellent. It was free while we were visiting, but we're not sure if that's just temporary or not.

Report Check-In

The parking fee is 100mps/persons now.
