Latest Check-Ins

camped in their parking lot. We paid 20,000 ¢ which is more than anywhere else (two adults, children free). The owner would not budge on the price. Pool was good, bathrooms and shower had no locks on the doors. Very clean facilities and great kitchen space if you need to cook.

Report Check-In

We actually wanted to sleep here but it is just rebuilt and the pitches for motorhomes are not usable. Maybe ask before by WhatsApp if it goes again.

Report Check-In

Nice campground, partly on grass. With a tent you can camp between the trees, but there are only a few spots where you can stand with a car (and rooftop tent). The ablution block was cleaned at least once a day. The Wifi is reliable, the pools are nice and the beach close by. We recommend to take surfing lessons with Lapa Surf School in this area, the hostel nearby can help you to arrange it. Had a great time here!

Report Check-In

As described in last post. 5000colones. One of the nicer campsites we have been on. Just traveling trough so only spend one night. Added some updated photos. We stayed with a 4x4 with rooftop tent. Met another traveling german couple and it was very nice!

Report Check-In

As described, resort-style location with rooms and space for tents as well as camping (not a lot of space for big rigs!)
Two nice swimming pools to cool down and outdoor kitchen/BBQ area with tables available (in pool area). Sink, cold showers, ok clean toilets available as well as electricity and water to fill up the tank.
Price C 5000 pp per night, we were able to negotiate down to C 4000 pp per night for our 3 night stay.

Report Check-In

Tented for 3 nights for 10,000 crc per night (negotiated down from 12k and 10 year old son was free). Washrooms, dish washing areas and showers were cleaned regularly and WC restocked with TP. Camping under the trees was excellent and kept the tent cool in the late afternoon. Other campers came and went but super quiet except for the howler monkeys in the morning. The swimming pools were a great way to cool down and get rid of that last bit of sand from the beach. Ballena Beach was fantastic. 1,000 crc per adult (resident $6 tourist) and drive through to park beach front. Bring your surf or boogie board to enjoy the waves. Friendly staff make this place highly recommended. Drivers in a 3 ton delivery truck stayed at the hotel one night, so absolutely big rig friendly. The best campground so far in our experience. The store across from the campground has a surprisingly large selection, but not sure why you need 3 different types of soy sauce?

Report Check-In

Clean, quiet, right next to a little grocery store. Walking distance to beach. We rented a bike for going into Uvita. Showers, toilets, fast WiFi, electric outlets at sites. Not really big rig suitable but was fine for our 10’ high and 20’ long van.

Report Check-In

Looks pretty but 10USD per person is too much to camp on the grass... a lot of free beach camping is close by. We didn’t stay.

Report Check-In

Ridiculously expensive for what it is. 9US per person, 12 if you want electricity. Did not stay.

Report Check-In

It's now 10 000 colones for two people, campervan and electricity.
Clean restrooms, sink. Wifi works well.

note that the access to the nearest beach costs 6$ per person.

Report Check-In

Good infrastructures : electricity and wifi at site, swimming pool, showers. Paid 8000 per night for 2 people in a campervan.
By the way, we did the whale watching tour with them (56$ per person), and we really enjoyed it, we would recommend it.

Report Check-In

8000 c for 2 adults and 4 year old, with electricity. Nice lawn with trees, good bathrooms, pool still not available (not sure why as it looked fine). We were only ones here on a weekday camping. Workmen busy and polite working on hotel, putting in nice tile walkways. Grass was newly cut Low, which was nice as it was quite rainy.

Report Check-In

Great Spot, can confirm Woz and Iwona post. Price seems to be negotiable and dependant on power use and length of stay. We paid 10$ based on three nights and ended up staying six. We do not have a/c. Truck camper fit fine at the back of property.

Report Check-In

We were planning to camp here but they wanted to charge 4000C (without electricity) per person including children (7,5). We left.

Report Check-In

Great campground, one of our favourite places in Costa Rica! And it's a proper campground, not some "second class citizen dusty car park". Beautiful grounds with grass and trees, attached to a little hotel. There's a couple of sinks for washing up, bathrooms and showers, plugs for electricity and lights, and a pool in the hotel area. The beach is 300m away. We stayed here three nights in our roof top tent and paid 7,000 colones per night including electricity (I think price will vary depending on the size of the vehicle and whether you're running a/c, etc). We were able to park our 4x4 among the trees but that might not be possible for much bigger vehicles. Highly recommended!

Report Check-In

Came here for third time! Absolutely love the beach near here. Paid 10,000C a night with power for two. Super nice staff welcomed us back. They do laundry at very reasonable prices. After five days we decided to stay another week and Roberto agreed to 50,000C for the week.

Report Check-In

Staff greeted us and quickly showed us up our choice of several slots. Wifi is generally available at sites but not always.
Showers and bathrooms are clean and there is enough water pressure.
We were quoted $30/night with the electric.
Shady and sunny slots.

Report Check-In

We came back here after going down to Osa Peninsula as we had to get back to San Jose. Spent three more days. So nice here and the nearby beach is beautiful. we turned right at the little road right before the park gate and walked down a bit to access beach as they charge $6 to "enter" until 4pm. Met many locals under the trees. Wi-Fi crapped out alot this time; too many people staying in cabanas we guessed.

Report Check-In

Very nice as mentioned. Talked them down to 10,000C for two with power for multiple nights. Slow to average Wi-Fi, clean bathrooms with TP and seats. Well maintained. very good movistar reception. Nice clean pool and we were told they do laundry.

Report Check-In

Verry nice, nous fûmes reçu avec beaucoup de gentillesse. 12000 colon pour nous quatre par nuit. On est peut-être hors saison cat ils sont à réparer plusieurs petites choses.

Report Check-In

Highly recommended place! Friendly people, good standing and clean rooms! We paid 51 dollars for 3 people and were even upgraded for the 2 last nights in a room with kitchen for the same price (low season).
There is also an outdoor kitchen with gas and a barbecue. You can ask and they provide you everything you need (unless the meat!:))

Report Check-In

Very nice place. Dedicated area for campers with clean restrooms, showers, sink to do dishes tables. Quiet and safe. Wi-fi, electricity and pool. 3000 colones per person. We were treated very nice by the staff. Only 300 meters from Playa Ballena. Overall a good place! 👍🏼

Report Check-In

Construction at site, looked messy for CR, found it expensive at 4,000 col per person for not much offered, wanted 5,000 with electricity. Wifi only at reception area, not reaching the camping area, anyways couldn't connect to it even there. Not even close comparition to the Swiss family owned place in Orosi.

Report Check-In

Report Check-In

Very good place! Try to negotiate about the price...Owner started at 5000col pp,we paid 3500col.

Report Check-In

$3000 colones per person to tent. They even let us use their swimming pool. The beach is a short walk down the road and the grounds here for camping are nicely treed and on grass. There's bathrooms right by the camping area.

Report Check-In

Beautiful spot not far from the water. Roberto the manager is very nice. Clean bathrooms, fast wifi. A bit expensive at $25 u.s with electricity for two of us and our dog.

Report Check-In

We really like this place. We went to El chaman first, but he wanted 9$pp/Night so we left. Here, the owner First wanted 6pp/Night but we negociated him down to 5pp/Night or 5000C. nice place with shade, Grass, showers, sinks, Pool, wifi (not as good as the others before stated) but okay. There even is a Washing machine which you can use for a Fee i guess. One of the nicer campgrounds in CRC we found. You can hear the ocen, have a nice breeze. Our Little Boy liked the Grass and the shade to crawl. Just watch out for the ants which like to invade your Camper.

Report Check-In
