On the north shore of Virginia Beach. Excellent facilities and tent as well as RV sites. Beach is also wonderful and not very crowded. 40$/51$ book in advance, very crowded place even in off-season for the electric sites. tent sites are for tents ONLY.
Why? By checking in after you’ve visited a place you let others know this place is still functional. You can also add or correct any information.
We spended 2 nights at this camp ground. It is a good place to go. Nice staff, you can self-register if you are late. Clean, beautiful, in the wood, footsteps of the beach. I recommand.
Report Check-InNow 40$/51$ non resident. Crowded even in off-season like right now.
Report Check-InVery nice, new restrooms and showers. Nice secluded shady tent spots. Was very quiet when we were here except for a few passing motorcycles on the highway. Beach was nice and not at all crowded. Saw several dolphins about 100yards out from the beach. Will definitely stop in again if we are in the area.
Report Check-InBeautiful large park, different types of sites, dump and air. The restrooms were clean and showers hot. I (and dog) just didn't like being next to the extremely loud military facility. Machine gun artillery fire until 10:30 pm when we were there.
Report Check-InBig beach park on the Chesapeake Bay. We are here after Labor Day and it’s needs a lot of attention after no doubt heavy summer use. Over half the restrooms and bathhouses are closed. The boardwalk to the beaches really needs repairs. Other than that it’s a great and affordable spot to camp despite its closeness to road traffic outside the park. Plenty of site for RVs with water and electric. Lots of tent sites in the shade. We like our site for our small van which is tent site 185. Site 186 will have more clearance for sprinter size vans.
Report Check-InNice park , like others said you can visit this beach/park without camping for just 7$ the full day … showers and amenities like the laundry room are supposed to be for overnight campers only but tbh I don’t see how that’s “regulated” so I think you can come here to get those task done without staying .
Next time I think I’ll save a few dollars by getting a tent spot instead of electric/water because you can still park your car at select tent spots you’d just have to use a nearby spiket
Report Check-InBeautiful park. 35 for tent zone, 45 for rv zone. 7 for parking only. Excl. Taxes.
