Report Check-In

Much depends on you as to what you expect of a “good” campground in Central Mexico. We have learned in our short time to be open to whatever we find and here once again we find humanity. A family who is trying to pay bills and support themselves.
Josefina & Carlos are friendly and incredibly helpful. My spouse had something happening with what looked like skin infection and Carlos called his Doctor for advice, he also called a friend to drive us to the recommended clinic, then to the pharmacy etc. grateful we were there for this kind of care!!
The campground was empty other than us, quiet, except for dog’s barking late at night. Far off the main road you hear no trucks & buses. All spots have electricity & water plus grey or black water dump at each location. (I can see why they don’t offer for you to dump if not staying here.) This is a family property with other homes surrounding it.
They also have a bar if you are out of your own beverages. The family has a contract with government office to prepare & deliver meals for about 30 people, daily, So they are around during the day if you need anything.
In addition as others have mentioned, yes a bathroom - 1 men’s & 1 women ‘s with shower & hot water. Better than some we have seen but like most so far could use some attention.
We stayed 3 nights and could have stayed longer very comfortable here. Price is $395. Pesos per night.
Hard to find water purification sites for out size truckcamper Carlos went and picked up 6 garafones (approximately 20 liters each) for us, once again service with a smile $40 pesos each. Which we paid that today in San Miguel Allende at a facility.
We highly recommend staying here, Guanajuato is beautiful!!!

Regarding DUMP: We went there to ask if we could just dump. I also offered him 100M$, but he said he does not offer just dumping without staying the night. He also said a lot of people come to ask about that and seemed bothered. He seemed like a very nice person though and spoke english.

Report Check-In

Stayed the night at 395 MXN. Only one camping for the night. Men's restroom/shower was clean enough, but women's was dirty. Bring your own TP.

Report Check-In

This place is wonderful, level, clean and quiet. The owner Carlos and his wife were fantastic and Carlos went out of his way to help me take care of a parking ticket I got in town. If your rig is too large for the tiny streets of Guanajuato, stay here and take the shuttle bus into town.

Report Check-In

Given the size of our rig (9m long, 3,9m high) we decided not to attempt to park anywhere in the city and therefore stayed at this RV park for three nights. We paid 395 Peso/night for full hook-up and nice hot showers. Getting in and out of the city by bus worked very well for us and we enjoyed the quietness out here during the night and in the mornings.

Report Check-In

Great place to camp, nice and quiet. Carlos, the owner and his daughter make you feel welcome. Perfect for big rigs. bus to town stops in front if the campsite. Carlos will show you the town being born here he knows his way around the tunnels and the very narrow and steep streets. highly recommended.

Report Check-In

Price of $280,- Peso is NOT correct!! The real price is $395,- Peso per night !!!!
We stayed here with 2 person for 3 nights in june 2022. The place is good and quite place to stay outside Guanajuato. Its about 10km to the center of Guanajuato. We have a motorbike on our RV so we could easy visit the very nice town. The door of the campground is not locked 24h, so you can enter whenever you want. Can not see somebody who is guarding the place or entrance. The campground is a rightangular place with about 2000 squaremeters. You find water and graywater connection on each place. This is good.
In general is the price of $395,- Peso per night much to high for this place. It includes electricity, even if you say you do not need, there is no discount. Only cash paying. The Wifi is poor, super slow. The signal does not reach the whole camp side. We used our range extender antenna. Because we had been the only RV and visitor on this place, the owner opened only the little toilette-shower-room for woman. We had no problem with that. It seemed tha the shower was not used for a while because of the smell and the dust inside the shower. The water was warm.
The RV place is separated with a fence to the restaurant ground. There is a door between which seems to be open. We did not visited the restaurent because it was closed.
The owner is promoting this place on phone like 4 Star place but the very high price is absolutely not ok for this RV park. He ask us how many days we will stay. We said for 3 nights. He said then we could pay when we leave on the last day. But we where ask form members of the family first day twice about how many nights, when you are going to pay..... In the later evening on the first day somebody knocked our door and ask to pay for the whole time. No chance to pay with credit card, only cash and right now. The morning after the second night again memebers form the family (others) ask us to pay. We said we have allready paied las night. Aaaaah???....ok was the answer. So they did not know who and when anybody is charging there guests.
This behave gives strongly the impression that money is the most important from guests. As well it shows that they do not have confidence in there guests. People who have no confidence in others, they are mostly not reliable themself.
We could not recommend this place. Specially the price and the hunting for money are not ok.

Bugamville RV Park was recommended to us by another traveler. If you are a boondocker and want to be in this area; than this is the place for you. If you want even the basic services I wouldn't recommend it for more that a day or two. One of the owners was very nice, the other made us feel like we were an inconvenience. There is a gate for security which was nice. This is a step up from boondocking, so it is very expensive for what you get. The amenities are misleading and would justify the cost if they were actually there and provided. Neighboring dogs continually barked all the time. Water was spotty, and so was the electricity, and no septic. Have to go to the office to get the wifi. It was easier to use our cellular data and that was not the best. We were the only ones there and was parked up by the office on the recommendations of one of the owners and still had problems with wifi. This is not the easiest place to find. The reviews previous reviews on the utilities are accurate.

If you want to stay out of Guanajuati center, this is the only choice. We stayed there nearly a week. In the most of time we are alone. Feel a bit lonely during chrismas and also the guy is not always there. Only barking dog. The price is a little high.

380 Mex-$/ ight, for our smaller rig only 350$. We stand alone.

Report Check-In

This was our most expensive campsite in Mexiko since 5 months. The Internet is very bad. But near the wonderful town of Guanajuato there is no other and I think the chef knows this.

Report Check-In

Great spot with full service. Carlos is very helpful organising tours for us. Town is fantastic. Wifi did not reach our site. First night shower was excellent because another camper had bitched about the water pressure. Unfortunately as soon as he left, water pressure returned to near zero. We paid 380 P a night.

Very good option if your RV is high and you don’t want to get stuck in the city.
Very quiet and calm place. Small playground for kids. There is a bus stop at the front every 10 minutes to Guanajanto. Very good option to leave your RV. Accessible for big rigs.

Big rv park. Bathrooms with hot water for showers and toilet; electricity and water and sewer by rv spots.quiet at night! WiFi available.
You can take the local bus into town for 9 pesos pp and it takes about 30 minutes. Take to the last stop and you are in downtown Guanajuato.. beautiful city!! The owner speaks English and is very helpful. 380 pesos a night. Big rig friendly. We liked not having to drive in the city (to other parking options and the bus is all part of experiencing Mexico! Would stay again!

Place as discribed. No shadow but full hook up at all places. Only 1 toilet and shower for men and the same for woman. Nearly quiet at night, only some dogs far away. Save. Now we had to pay 380 pesos, we think its too much.

Propriétaire très sympa, étendu de pelouse avec eau et électricité. Pratique pour visiter Guanajuato en bus. Impossible de rouler dans la ville en camping-car!

Report Check-In

The good: Big, quiet place. Friendly owner. We were alone so our dog could run around the entire park safely. Easy to get to. Water/Electricity/Sewer. The not-so-good: 350 pesos per night seemed a bit too high. Toilets without TP and showers lukewarm. No shade until late in the afternoon. Not very close to town.

Report Check-In

Big no for us. No privacy at all, a lot of dog poop on the grass, dirty shower and toilet (no toilet paper available). Just 1 shower and toilet per gender. Security dog barking all the time... felt uncomfortable in this place. paid 250 pesos, owner wanted 350 to start but definitely not worth it. However, it is secured, the owner gives you maps and information about the city, it is close to the city center by bus and there is a bar/restaurant (don't know what the opening times are, was not open when we were there at a saturday). Stayed 1 night.

Report Check-In

Spent two nights here, really quiet !

Clean bathrooms
