Something not right?

Description

Right next to "Los Pozones" and the original parking lot indicated earlier, another camping place sprouted out of nothingness ... what was a mere meadow once, now turned into camping.

Nice length of grassy camping with shady trees extending from the road to the river in lovely valley location. View over a heap of beehives (not a good area if you have a bee allergy!) in the next field up the valley towards domes too. Plenty of space and very peaceful. Think you can go and camp in the woods at the bottom too near the river if you want to but would have to walk in. Lots of picnic tables and benches around, sinks and firerings. Nice clean loo block, showers on back being worked on (couple of gas cylinders there so may yet be hot one day!) At the moment only a cold shower room near entrance. Friendly ladies on check in. 7000 each which doesn't seem to bad for this area!
Bonus: they allowed us to park our car with them for 3000 a night - 4000 next door or 5000 at Base camp, the other 2 options within 100 m!!

Thanks to ever ramping inflation this is now 7.000 pppn.

Still the cheapest around

Petit camping en fond de vallée bien situé mais pas de confort. 5000p/p

Good campsite. There is plenty of space and the river next door is perfect for swimming. There is a toilet and a shower in front. Further back on the property are 3 toilets and more showers are being built. The ladies who manage the place are very nice. We paid 5000 pp (4x4 with roof tent). You can buy a few items at the reception, but it is not a mini market. Despite Entel there is no cell phone signal. It is a hotspot for hikers. For information, the trails have to be started by 10 am at the latest. After that they don't let anyone else on the trek.

Probably the best campingspot of the lower valley. We checked all 4. Basic toilets and showers. Fire pits and enough wood available. Friendly woman.

3000 pesos, firepits, if your a cyclists they'll watch your bicicleta for you while you hike into the valley so just post up here one night before hiking in or on your way out. This is a very low key and beautiful site as you get a few camp options near the river with a bit of a sand area to just relax. It was all in all a much needed rest after Arco Iris and La Junta. p.s. flush toilets and cold showers and potable water.
