Something not right?

Description

$200 pesos per person to camp per night. extra $25 if you want to bring your dog. They were actually open on Monday when we cruised by, but maybe they have to be when they're charging so much more than everyone else for camping...

Beautiful walks from the campsite El Chico NP, Park Street

Latest Check-Ins

We wanted to check out the climbing here but it sounded like it was top-rope only from talking to the friendly man at the entrance.

We did not stay as the price for camping way way above everything else in the area. They are currently charging $200 per person - the breakdown was explained to us as $50 per person day use X2 + $100 per person per night = $200.

Following that logic if you were going to stay more than one night they'd have to drop out $50 to not be double charging for day use.

We didn't bother getting into those details though as there's plenty of other campsites around which are more reasonably priced.

Report Check-In

We arrived at 3 pm and gate was closed with three locks, nobody around. Stayed for the night approx. 300 meters down the road just before the intersection in a rest area with tables. Drive down a bit in the forst as not to be seen from road. Police drove by several times, they did not stop. Quiet, free, no telcel, a bit trashy, no amenities. Some locals came by in the evening, they said the place was 'libre'.

Report Check-In

It is a very nice place with shade, palapas and fireplace. No water (even the dam was very low) and because of a broken pipe you cant use the toilets! He told us they are in the process of fixing. He wanted 100Peso/Pers but we negotiated it down to 50 per Pers as we could not use the toilets.

Report Check-In

Sounded wonderful but only open 0800-1800....just as an FYI! Gated when we arrived at 1900 with aforementioned times!

Report Check-In

Very nice place with a huge meadow and some palapas and fire pits around. You can drive your vehicle between some trees, there are some even spaces for the size of a van. We camped her on a weekend together with a few Mexican families and it was really nice, quiet and a awesome mode. A guy came around and collected 50 Pesos/Person, but I think during the weekdays it will be empty and you might can stay for free.

Report Check-In

nice place, many spots to choose from either on flat grass areas by the entrance or by the water farther in, but those aren't flat and won't fit anything bigger than a van. price is 15pp to enter and 50pp to camp but nobody was around to collect.

Report Check-In

We came here Sunday afternoon and the place was busy with Mexican families, no crazy partys. They all left in the evening, a nice and quiet spot, also has bucket flush toilets.
50$ per person for camping. Not run down at all when we were there.

Report Check-In

Seems pretty run down, but perhaps its out of season no one came to collect the fee (apprx. 100 P)
Grassy meadow with shelter and firepits.
