Description

The most beautiful place that we found in the corner of Lakes. Follow the main road and take left fork that points to Loftun. Go down short gravel/dirt track of the right and then drive along the beach. Beach can be a bit mucky/sandy in places after rain.

This is a tiny and quiet beach, perfect for swimming, parking a car or a small camper. Wood everywhere to fire and rocks basaltic floating on the water. a piece of Paradise

The steep section mentioned before has been asphalted now, but to get to this spot you don’t need to go there anyway: navigate to “Small Bay at Lago Ranco”, then drive here over the beach. The beach was too wet for our 2WD van, so we did not reach this spot exactly, but great spot!

I went here but the place is closed. It is not allowed to camp. Beside that they put a vence.

Remote, beautiful, clean and no one else here (it’s a Friday). Be careful not to miss the sign for “Loftun” then follow road and then track til you see the beach :)

Beautiful spot! Depending on the wind, you may want to cut left onto the pebble beach, instead of going all the way till the end of the bay where you will most likely find one or more other campers. Plenty of driftwood to make a fire. The bushes are a little worn from everyone deciding to chop down trees and branches for their fire. They also seem to double as main toilet area - watch your step, and please clean up after yourselves!

lovely spot that our family really enjoyed. a bit busier than we had hoped but I guess February weekends may be like that everywhere. nice and warm and generally out of the wind. a bit if pretty sift sand just as you reach the lake but many 2wd cars passed with inly one car getting stuck for a moment. bugs come out after dark a bit.

Beautiful area. Enough space for multiple rigs and tents around a bay. We had one other rig across the beach on our night. The road is as standard in Chile - bumpy and winding! Well worth the effort to get here.

If you can you have to come here! It is such a remote and peaceful and beautiful spot. Bring food for several days and enjoy!

Beautiful spot. Just follow the main road (on MapsMe) and take the left fork. You can see the beach from the road when you come around the point. Follow your nose down a short gravel / dirt track to the right, down to beach and the other ioverlander camp. You then have to drive along the beach to get to this spot. Don't get confused by random tracks / roads on MapsMe. After rain it can be a bit mucky and washed out. We opted to stay at the beginning of the beach because the beach was too wet for us. Also nice but not as private.

A beautiful, quiet, and remote spot with great swimming. When 3.5 km from the destination, take the left turn towards "Loftun". You will avoid a steep 4x4 road that connects to the final destination. If you reached Playa Arenal, you took the wrong road, backtrack to the Loftun sign. Also, the loop around the peninsula is very nice. We recommend doing it clockwise so that you go downhill on the last steep and loose section (which overlooks the campsite).
