Public piece of land by a lake. A few concrete picknick huts have been build with little tables to prepare food. Nice spot to camp, almost scenic. Quiet during the week, a little busy with locals on weekends (music, some dust and noise from cars and quads). Level, a bit away from the next houses. Can fish in the lake or make a campfire. Lake water is muddy, wouldn't want to go in.
No security whatsoever, you're on your own. Stayed for a few nights and had no troubles. Police checked me and recommended to move into town at night, but locals and other cops said it was safe. No shade, no infrastructure, not even a taco place in the village.

A beautiful place to camp. A few locals but there's plenty of space.
Report Check-InStayed here for one night. No one bothered us and it was quite. Some trash by the lake but not to bad. There is a bathroom that you can walk to during the day
Report Check-Inyou can park right by the concrete shade places. we spent one night with no trouble. a few locals hanging out since it was a Friday night. they confirmed that it's a safe and quiet place to camp and said that police patrols it at night. a few horses, cows and dogs hanging out as well. Unfortunately lots of rubbish all over otherwise pretty view.
Report Check-InPueblo Campo hermoso, flat area close to village & lake. stayed 1 night on the way to monarch sanctuary. no services, quiet & no problems
