Very quick turnoff into small entrance, but a small handful of nice fairly flat spots. A couple campfire rings. Some day hiker traffic. Can’t beat for 7 min away from East Bend. Verizon 2 bars

sweet, quiet, juniper grove by lovely creek. nice neighbors, flat spots, hiking trails. good verizon signal.

The turn off is tricky at night; it's right before the top of the hill.
There seems to be an RV with no one in it, but regardless this is a nice spot.
Over the weekend there are dog walkers.
Be aware that there is a port-a-potty but it is private to some camp program?
No issues of drug trafficking that were mentioned in previous comments. The city has kept this nice.

Stayed last night for my 2nd non-consecutive night. it was mostly quiet, but expect other run down RVs and campers living on their own schedules (late arrivals and early departures). low traffic noise. Everyone and their dogs have been nice

nice trailhead space for several cars near the road. heard cars and birds all night but we were so tired we didn’t mind. my dog heard noise including a rooster but settled eventually. there was one other camper here and some cars earlier in the evening using the trail. near a sweet little stream, very close to bend. probably the best you’ll get without leaving the city too much.

Quite a few other car campers here, the road is rough but near any sedan would be fine going slow. Creek is very cute.

Great spot, but it is very popular so quiet isn’t always an option. But the sound of rushing water is nice.

Only two spots open, maybe one more right at the base if you get crafty, but that there is a huge locked steel gate that seems to be blocking access to the rest. Both were open when I got here. Barely made it past the bumpy entrance in my van. There's a hiking and biking trail right here that looks ok if you aren't into mountains.

okay saying this place has a rough entrance is an understatement. Also, be forewarned. I was woken up last night by a woman screaming in the same parking lot. There were two cars doing I don't know what. after 15 minutes of a lot of flashlights, they all drove away. Not happy!

All info still current. Nice place, is narrow bumpy entrance. We have 34' motorhome table to get in. Very tempting to drive down road by stream but posted no motor vehicles. Ranger came out in evening to check. Talked to Ranger and he warned of illegal drug acivity going on here is a problem so be advised.

Stayed on night. Went almost all the way to the back by the lake. Lots of rain and puddles but the ground was firm, no chance of getting stuck. Couple bars of cell service with Verizon, quiet, tons of places to park.

This is a nice spot just outside of the center of Bend. I had 3-4 bars of Verizon coverage on my jet pack/hot spot and my phone wavered between 2-3 bars. Make sure to pay attention to the signage once you get in here. You can’t drive down along the creek and park, only park in the lot area. There are a variety of trails here if you pull up the All Trails map. It won’t show a trailhead marker but it will show all of the trails.

There is not a sign from the road when you approach this area so pay attention. The short road /entrance is a bit bumpy coming in. There is no longer a trailer parked here (referenced in prior posts) and I was the only camper. The next morning there were a few ppl that came to run/walk with off leash dogs. I’ve added a few photos.

This is a great little spot. We stayed first few nights of December so there was some snow on the ground every morning, might be tricky to get into in winter months when the snow is thicker but still great now!

Excellent location - we spent about a week in Bend and spent about 5 nights at this camp site. It is one of our favorites that we've stayed at during the past 4 months.

It's barely 15 mins outside of Bend and surprisingly sees little traffic. At max there were 2 other vehicles staying the night, some times it was just us. Full cell service (verizon). A few locals walk their dogs along the stream in the mornings/evenings.

Please, please pack out all trash and pick up anything you see that isn't yours. I could see this spot easily becoming a problem due to trash/overuse (thankfully it hasn't reached that time yet).

Couple other notes: 1. it's unclear who owns this land. Posted signs are from BLM, however it doesn't appear on any of their regional land use maps. 2. The NF spots west of Bend are much more popular/utilized by locals and others due to their proximity to popular mtn biking trails.

Long term trailer resident there made it less than ideal for two traveling ladies. But otherwise would’ve been great spot near town.

Nice spot just off road. Decent cell service, minimal traffic noise at night, level ground. Wouldn't stay here for an extended time, but close to Bend.
