Description

Undiscovered beauty here! it's an establish park where you can hike to see and stand on top of a glacier! quiet and tranquil with toilets, drinking water, firepit and camping coves which are cosy! there are also huts which you can rent for 24000. entrance fee is 5000 a person and then 2000 per person to camp. But we didn't have the cash because we were on our way out of Chile, so you can pay afterwards via the website as a donation. beautiful place to stop over. Going towards the border, take the dirt road on your right after the bend in the road after the river. keep going for about 6km, there are alot of goats and there is a small river you need to drive through before you get to the office! (we managed it in our clio) :)

We did not stay as it was too expensive for us. We just needed a place to sleep and did not plan any hikes etc.
7000 p.p. Entrance to the park & 3500 p.p. For camping.
They were very friendly

Great place as discribed. Cost the same as in last post. Dani and Martin make a great job and try to keep this place as great as it is.

Beautiful Location and private park !
The road to the park/camping already worth to be taken, it's beautiful !
The price is 5000 pp and 2500pp to stay at nigth. They have toilets and cold shower.
The staff is very very friendly and helpful.

If you don't want to pay for the overnight (there are few wild spot before along the road) you can arrive early morning and to the main hike to the glaciar (18km) in one day. Nonetheless I would recommend to start at last at 9am, first for the wind (less) and because there is a river to cross and in the afternoon the level of water is higher (glavier melting) and might not be possible.
Despite that the hike is very very very nice !

Stayed here on a Friday night. Beautiful location, but low temperature was -5 Celsius. It is also a popular place. 16 Chilean college students showed up at duck and partied until at least 1 in the morning. So take your chances with that.

The camp doesn’t worth it. It is just parking space and pit toilets. Nice views though! But the hikes are amazing!!! We went to the glaciar 9km there and 9km back. Very easy hike with great views so we have like 1000 pictures! We went off season so nobody was there and also all for free! It was very cold and can get windy. Also be careful about your food cause there are mouses and they can get anywhere! One get in our car! Sunset and sunrise are absolutely stunning! So if you are not going to Patagonia you can come here!

We just paid the entrance fee and hiked. Stunning valley. Paying to camp in a dusty parking lot with squat toilets and cold showers and lots of other people is not our gig.

Really nice experience including the 7km beautiful dirt road drive into the camping area. Dirt road is easy to miss off the highway! No worries about the little stream crossing, lots of small cars already in the parking lot have done it, at least at this time of year. Wonderful trails and did a 2.5 hour out and back hike with our 5 year old that was great. Perfect amount of scrambling and hilly trails that got us a wee bit closer to the glacier, and a field of huge jack rabbits! There were many tent campers and day hikers there on the Sunday we were, but place is very spread out and never felt crowded. Bathrooms are squat, with water flush, and were very very clean. Must pack out your own garbage.

Really beautiful place and very nice workers. Awesome hikes- one 6 hours return but steep; the other 4 hours to and 4 hours back from the glacier, but lower difficulty. Amazing views and very calm (sometimes windy) place. Charged $5000 entry pp and $2500pp per night. Basic facilities (squat toilets and cold showers), great straight from the mountain drinking water. They have some, but limited solar power to charge a phone or two.

Beautiful private park with established hiking trails, clean pit toilets, cold water showers, and several tent camping areas, with a communal (no-roof) structure where you can have a campfire. We parked at the back of the large parking lot bc we sleep in our rooftop tent - it was quiet and peaceful.
We paid 2,500pp/per night to camp, and a 5,000pp entrance fee. Staff are amazing and friendly and all spoke really good English, which helped bc we asked a ton of questions, haha! Would definitely recommend, but try to visit during the week, as the Saturday we left about 30 people came to hike the trails - fortunately we had hiked it the day before (Friday), and had the trail all to ourselves. We will be back!
