Big Gravel Lot - Big Rig Friendly - No Services. Beautiful Mountain Views. Close (30. Minutes +/- to Pinal Air Museum & Tucson)
Update: Verizon cell service works just a bit slow.
Why? By checking in after you’ve visited a place you let others know this place is still functional. You can also add or correct any information.
Perfect quiet BLM spot, we were the only ones here for the 1 night we stayed. The sunset, star gazing and sunrise are beautiful. No facilities and fair cell service
Report Check-InAwesome Mountain Views!
Very peaceful spot we have visited multiple times over the last 3 years. We have been here a week and met some great people. Group campfires with other travelers is one of my favorite things about this lifestyle.
2 bars LTE Verizon, sometimes.
Beautiful sunsets daily!
Stayed here for 1 night with our 22' trailer and had the place to ourselves, nice level lot, we felt safe. There are some other spots further down the road, 1st options are to the right after cattle guard or on left if you keep going straight a mile or so past the cattle guard, not sure I would have wanted to try to get to those spots with my higher clearance trailer though due to several big dips in the road and higher clearance definitely is needed.
Report Check-InDirt road isn’t too far after pavement ends. 5 others here but there was still room for our 40ft skoolie. No lights, very quiet night
Report Check-InFlat circle parking lot, stay up to 14 days with no amenities. We picked up handfuls of glass each day so until someone shoots another glass bottle, it’s ok for now. Very quiet at night except for coyotes. Other campers were in vans, cars, pop ups and big rigs. Took mountain bikes into the desert and didn’t get lost. 🚲😝
Report Check-InNice open gravel lot. No lights or services. Quiet. Camping is allowed for 14 days.
Report Check-InWe were the only ones here it was a nice quiet evening. Beautiful sunset we heard some coyotes in the distance. Early in the morning around 6:30 some trucks pulled in with ATVs. We are early risers so they didn’t bother us. They were not loud they unloaded and took off. This was a great place to stay.
Report Check-InStayed a few nights. About 4 other campers (van, tents, rvs). No issues. Close to Saguaro West. Quiet location. Occasional ATV riders in area. Can fill water bottles and small jugs at Saguaro visitor center nearby.
Report Check-InNice gravel lot with a view of Ironwoods. Nice sunsets, super easy access. We found it to be pretty clean. Just some horse poop 💩. Can stay for up to 14 days.

Report Check-InJust past the end of the pavement is the open gravel lot. Perfect! We spent 3 days here and nobody in sight. We disconnected the 5th wheel trailer and it stayed safe. Perfect spot away from everyone. It is a bit of a drive, but close to Saguaro National Park.
Report Check-InGood, quiet, big gravel lot. There is a ranch close by with horse that walk around freely. We had good Verizon reception, good enough to stream Hulu. It was really close to Saguaro NP. Only complaint is there is A LOT of broken glass, which makes it tough if you have dogs.
If you’re one of those people who trashes a place, especially with broken glass - you suck.
Crowded but great spot to stay while going in and out of Saguaro.
Report Check-InAwesome BLM land, wide open space. You can park at the gravel lot just past the cow gate or drive down the bumpy dirt road for more privacy. We made it about a mile down in our Transit van with no problem. Not much for trailers to turn around or larger RVs.
Report Check-InLarge gravel lot off quiet road, easy to access. Stayed with 5 other campers. Beautiful sunsets!
Report Check-InVery quiet. There is one other camper here. It's level and the mountain view are spectacular. I can't wait for sunset.
Report Check-InGreat place to stay, especially if you just went to Saguara National Park! just an open gravel lot, but lovely views all around. Only two other rigs there with us. Some Verizon reception, not the best but doable. Saw a few horses in the distance when we showed up too!
Report Check-InGreat overnight spot, decent cell coverage and other people were here. Quiet night by the fire, would visit again as it was nice and clean.
Report Check-InReally peaceful gravel lot at the end with Mountain Views in just about every direction. Last 1/2 mile is dirt road with some washboards but not bad.
Really beautiful sunsets and awesome dark skies for star gazing.
Only downside is the distance from Tucson but the trade off is that it is very quiet. We have only seen one minivan and a couple ATVs in the last couple days. Area is well maintained and much cleaner than Snyder Hill. No saguaros at this spot but we are about 20 mins from the Saguaro NP West entrance. We get 1-2 bars Verizon LTE.
Great lot in the desert! Beautiful sunset/rise. Very quiet. Spent the night in our van with one other RV. (No Gene pls!) 20 min from SNP
Report Check-InI would not consider this a "big" gravel lot like the original post described. However small, we had a pleasant night sleep with three other small RV/vans. Gorgeous views of the mountains and sunset.
Report Check-InSlept very well ! Fiew other campers.
Please RV people, turn your generator off at night!
*Excellent* blm camp site, maintained by Friends of Ironwood Range. Very safe area to boondock. weekends involve horse riders and occassional atv's going by but weekdays and nights are seriously quiet. border patrol and country sheriff drive by once a day and wave 😎. I have been here, this time, for 7 days and would gladly stay here longer than our 14 day limit.
Report Check-InAs others described, great free spot to spend a few nights. Sunset was great. Couple little fire rings.
Report Check-InNice, level gravel area to park the rig. Have been here three days and the only noise was from the small plane airstrip not far from here—but no big deal at all. Our front door opened to a view of the mountains and the sunsets were breathtaking. Definitely recommend.
Report Check-InVery quiet place. Gravel road last one mile. Ear coyotes and see stars.
Report Check-InA bit out of the way if you are passing through As described by others but no-one else there in large area. Very beautiful mountain views and quiet. Sheriff drove by several times and waved.
Report Check-InStayed here for one night. Very good space but in a parking lot and it was a bit crowded for us! But great view of the mountains and feel very safe and close to the saguaro national park.
Report Check-InWe spent one night there, it was really quiet. We were surrounded by thunderstorms and lightnings, it was impressive.
