Great spot! Booked online, given code via email. No issues. Spot was level, showers are free with lots of hot water and staff friendly. Would highly recommend

Report Check-In

Great place, primitive sites are 17$, but they don’t allow access to the bathouse so we paid extra 5 $ to have it. Bathrooms have codes, so that means they are very clean. Quiet, woodsy and the lady at the store/office is very nice

Beautiful camping spot for $17-$22. Great level spots and the showers were nice and hot! Would definitely stay here again. (Also loved the dog park they had set up)

Report Check-In

$17 a night now for primitive (22 for RV sites). note that only the RV sites are near a bathroom. You can turn up and pay for a primitive site without having to go online.

Easy quick stop. The price now is $17. We did the primitive camping in our van.

Report Check-In

Great park! We came in to primitive camping later at night, paid online $13. Didn’t see a soul anywhere, we left 10am after using their dump site

Report Check-In

Nice place, big spots, quiet, clean bathrooms, electricity, nice staff and cheap (18$). If you have a European card you can't book online and need to call.

Report Check-In

Can see available spots and book online to secure and you get email confirmation. In Jun ‘22 price is $18 p/n for spot + $2 p/person. Restrooms have hot showers and are super clean w A/C. Need to make sure to get the door code for restroom especially if arrival after hours. Campsites have privacy, with tree shade, picnic tables, grills, power and water. State park is peaceful, has forest hiking trails. Pets allowed. Dump station available.

Great campground close to Biloxi Mississippi. Tent camping ($13) has 3 location options: 1. Turtle's Turn campground, right from the entrance, is directly next to the railroad tracks with train noises, 2. Armadillo Run campground, 2nd left from entrance, has a Frisbee golf course and a dozen people showed up Sunday morning at 9 AM for frisbee golf, 3. Gator's Run campground, straight ahead and road turns left, would be my pick for my next stay. Bathhouse is in the RV area, first left from entrance, and very clean.

Report Check-In

Very clean and well maintained park. Hot showers were awesome! Everything here is pretty spread out so if you’re in the primitive spots it can be quite a walk to the bathroom, just FYI. Pleasant weather in February.

Report Check-In

Very pretty, spacious primitive camping area without need for reservation. (RV section DOES require pre-registration, and that section was full when I got here).
Primitive camping area was still $13/night. paid at welcome center, then drove to find a spot for three nights. There was no one else there, tho one or two other vehicles showed up for a single night. Big enough to be far away from everyone else. Nice tree shade, tho you could park in a spot with direct sunlight if you prefer that. Sounds of big freight trains and horns off in the distance.
T-Mobile cell coverage was good, and my SkyRoam mobile hotspot found high speed internet connection without a problem.
Plenty of wildlife in this preserve, and it's very clean everywhere I walked.
As a primitive camper, you also have access to the hot showers in the RV/hookup area which is a nice bonus.
Primitive area also has a dog park. If you drive past that on your left, you will know you are in the right place.
The sign at the entrance said there was a 3-night limit for tent camping. I didn't ask at the office if that was still the case.

This is a nice camp spot, big campsites, clean bathrooms, and hot showers. We had a hookup for electricity. There is a fire pit on each site and a grill. The state park is large with trails and picnic tables for day use as well!

We really enjoyed our one night stay here at site 12. We could barely see our neighbors and were right on the water. Water and electric and plenty of room for our 38' skoolie. We would've stayed another night if the site had been available. Hard to beat, $18.00 said and done. Clean showers, disk golf course and a bunch of trails on about 300ish acres.

Stayed in site 6 for thanksgiving week and Christmas. We live only 30 minutes from Shephards so if we want to just get away from the grind of everyday life we pop down for some relaxation. They have been remodeling the bath house so for now it’s a unisex bath house. We didn’t use it so don’t know if that bathroom is done yet . We love the walking trails and they have a new walkway over the marsh that will be beautiful once they clean it out from our gulf storms . It’s a very quiet park .

Spent 4 nights here. Quiet State Park with big sites for $18 with electric & water or $13 on primitive sites. Bathrooms warm inside but need a little updating. Enjoyed our stay here

Nice place to stay, around 20 sites with water and electricity for 18$ per night and some different sites for primitive camping 13$ per night. Fairly clean hot shower located in the rv Park. Lof of activities (targets, disc golf...) 4$ for day use.
Was full for thanksgiving weekend.

Report Check-In

Nice little quiet state park. There are approximately 28 camp sites that are well spaced from one another. I was in site 12 (great site). There is electric at each site and the bathroom/shower facilities are very clean.

Report Check-In

Great state park was very nice and well kept. The trails were great Lots of photo opportunities. It has a nice disc golf course if you like that. Decent playground with restrooms close by

Terrain #4. State Park avec des terrains plus rustiques mais avec service (rv dump disponible). J’aime bien ce genre de terrain. En plus la ville n’est pas très loin pour le ravitaillement et les restaurants.

Report Check-In

Quiet state Park, site with electric and water $18 per night and can reserve online.
