Lugar calmo, parece seguro. O Wi-Fi do museu é aberto e bem lento.

Calm place, appear to be safe. Almost no people or cars at night, near 08:30/09am people starts to come to do exercise and left their cars parked. This is a small place and a has a few leveled places, if you got a big car I do not recommend to park here. There is no electricity and has a faucet near the front door of museum. Wi-Fi is password free and is very slow.

We stayed here for four nights, felt safe and used the free museum wifi and water tap.

Report Check-In

Felt super safe parking and leaving the campervan here for the day and into the evening. Couldn’t find a flat spot in the car park, so ended up parking a couple of streets to the west for the second night.
Museum wifi was off. Water tap to the left of the entrance.
It’s at the start of the Cerro San Bernardo walk. 1000+ steps and a great start to the morning.

We slept a peaceful night here on a holiday. There was a lot of movement of visitors and people playing sports on the Cerro. We were accompanied. We don't know if it's safe to sleep alone as it's very dark and a bit isolated despite the neighborhood being very good!

Report Check-In

We visited the museum today and parked near the large, dirt park. The actual museum parking area is very small. It would be difficult to turn around if it was full. Be cautious of entering with anything longer than a van.

El lugar es tranquilo, el wifi prácticamente no anda y el estacionamiento no esta derecho asique hay que buscar la forma para dormir … no es recomendable mas que una noche

we are here 2 night so far, very calm and quiet. We used the toilets in the museum only in the first day after visiting the museum, which is nice.
There a "cerro" walk very close and beautiful, on the top of the cerro there are clean toilets, restaurants and an amazing view of the city, but prepare your legs, it is a long way but worth!

during the day we parked our car on the mall parking which is free bit closes at midnight (there is good wifo there), and for sleep we came back here.

Report Check-In

We asked if we could spend the night and were told that we could, as long as the museum was closed (from 20hs to 10hs). However, we got food poisoning that same night and stayed there two nights in a row. Nobody said anything to us, we were allowed to use the toilets (lucky us) and it was fine. We had wifi for one night and then it stopped working.
However we didn’t feel comfortable to stay longer than we did.
They also asked us to park as close to the Cerro as possible so as to make it easier for touristic vans to drop on/off visitors during the day, which seems fair.

Great place, quiet and safe.

Excelente sitio, pasamos 3 noches aquí, la gente del museo es amigable y nos obsequiaron agua caliente, el lugar es tranquilo y seguro. Baño a 2 cuadras en la YPF, sin ducha pero muy limpio.

New Rules:
You can stay/camp maximum 24 hours and you can not use the toilet inside the museum anymore.
It is a good and save place to leave the car and walk to the city.

we stay 3 nights, we ask the police so we were sure we can open our rooftop tent. They were very friendly and they said we can open it from 22.00 'till 7:00. There is WiFi from the museum, security cameras, police going around. It's located at a very nice neighborhood, many people going to the park next to the museum for running.

We spent 4 nights here, beautiful place to stay inside the city, really quiet (we spend Tuesday - Friday). There's a water tap. Next to the museum entrance. I highly recommend waking up early to see a lot of birds and hike the Cerro San Bernardo. It is quiet, police passed several times and did not say anything. We even let the car there to go and visit the center (there's a man that takes care of it while you are not there). Isa por ahí.

We did not stay the night but the museum staff offered it to us when they saw our van. They said a maximum of 2 nights. The museum is free, has WiFi, and bathrooms. Small collection of items and information.

From the parking lot, you can also start the Escalinata (1,000 steps, 30-45 mins up and 30 minutes down) that takes you to Cerro San Bernardo for great views of Salta.

Felt super safe and was quiet. The museum is free and the internet inside and right outside is super fast; unfortunately didn’t reach the van (we parked in the corner spot near the streetlight in the top level). Was flat though and close to town- would recommend.

Great spot close to the center. Good to park and visit. We stayed 2 nights and then museum personnel asked us to go to the camping municipal. Police passed by to check. Some people shared some drinks until 3am on friday. Free wifi close to the museum.

Nice place to spend a night.
There is a flat space juste at the light on the top right of the parking.
Many people during the day so it can be hard to park but no one after 10pm.

Report Check-In

It was a nice place to camp in the city. Free wifi worked great after 10pm and before 11am. Right by the stairs to San Bernardo. Quiet, hidden, safe. Only two level spots.
