Along the long lake you'll see a small building to can change clothes. It's adjacent to a wonderful thermal bath. Perfect place for rough camping.
Why? By checking in after you’ve visited a place you let others know this place is still functional. You can also add or correct any information.
there is no thermal bath here, I think it's a mistake with the abandoned thermal bath of laguna blanca ( 2km from here)
Nice view and nice stop. But after 1h, two ranger come and said it's forbidden to camp here or around the lagunas. ...they tell us to go 6km further to the refugio, near the entrance of the park.
Had a really quiet night here. Spectacular view. Tours very friendly. Parked on the main parking of mirrador laguna verde.
Report Check-InWe stopped here for breakfast and to enjoy the view, but minutes later were joined by a swarm of tour groups. One guide threatened to call the park rangers on us for parking in the mirador. We headed to the south side of the lake for some privacy. I would only camp here if you plan to arrive in the afternoon and leave before 8am.
Report Check-InJust above the main mirador for Laguna Verde you will find this spot that has even better views and allows you to escape the crowds. It is very windy and there are no amenities. We ended up moving to a different spot across the lake in the late afternoon due to high winds. There are some protected areas nearby this site and at the main mirador site if the wind is too powerful (and they are more protected than the site we camped at across the lake).
Report Check-InIn the parking lot just above the laguna with views on the volcano Lincancabur.
There is no way to dispose garbage on the whole laguna route. Garbage has to be brought to the Chilean Border
