Another awesome rough camp, between the flamingos.

All we can say is wow! flamingoes on three sides and mountains around the outside. Con: it's cold!!!
Report Check-InReally nice spot to stay overnight. Lagoon still freezing at night! Flamencos are so cute.
Report Check-InLot of wind in the afternoon, but it calms down at 9 pm. The view is fantastic. The lake was frozen in the morning (-4 degrees celsius). It was a show to watch the flamingos waiting for the sun in the ice.
Report Check-InReally beautiful camp spot on the peninsula of Laguna Honda. Moderate wind started around 1pm and died down at 10pm.
Report Check-InAwesome place to spend the night! -6°C but Laguna Honda did not freeze entirely. Wind stopped at 10pm.
Report Check-InWorld class camping spot on a peninsula into the center of Laguna Honda surrounded by flamingos. Windy enough that we had to close our roof too tent during the afternoon for fear of damage, but it does down starting at sunset.
Also, you feel a bit "on display" to all the tour groups that come through and stop at a vista above the lake but they mostly come in a few big packs and then you have the whole landscape to yourself the rest of the time.

Report Check-InSitting on a small 'island' in the middle of the lake. The lake froze for us too and the flamingos sang quietly during the night as they huddled together for warmth. The words 'Spectacular wildcamp' doesn't do it justice.
Report Check-InQuite a windy spot but hard to beat the spectacular views surrounded by flamingos. The wind was very intense until around 9pm and then stopped completely. It was cold enough that the lake froze overnight. We loved watching flamingos huddled together in the morning waiting for ice to melt.
