Latest Check-Ins

Miguel and Valentina have a small parking area outside of Miguel's workshop that they allow people (local drivers) to park in. It's an easy walk to the square, about 1km. Highly recommended if you are looking for a secure place to leave your vehicle while you hike or enjoy the village. It was also a great way to meet and talk to a local family. Very quiet at night, but the roosters will be your alarm clock.
They have 5 kids that are very sweet, well behaved and excited to talk to travelers. They were very excited to see our van, and climbed all through it and asked us questions. We gave them some small gifts of colored pencils and a coloring book.
Miguel ask for 25bols for two nights. Very basic accommodations, bathroom consists of a toilet without running water, that is flushed with a bucket of water. We only used it once and preferred using bathrooms in town.
They've only had 5 overlanders stay with them thus far.

Report Check-In

A bit awkward at first (you are in their backyard where they are working during the day) but that changed as soon as we approached for conversations (in Spanish). Their 5 youngest kids were very curious and wanted to know all about the car, trip, and the food we prepared. Luckily we had enough sweets in the car. If you decide to go, bringing sweets or coloured pencils would be a nice idea. We had a blast all night playing, talking and helping the kids with homework. The next morning we went away and the car could stay. When we came back after noon they only wanted 10b. We gave 20 and she happily accepted. Really recommended! We now have a car full of dirt-drawings of flowers, hearts and names, yay.
