Latest Check-Ins
Mosquitos were relentless all night. Also spotted beavers, deer, and plenty of horses across the street. There are more campsites at Horse Ranch Park and the Cliff Creek Trailhead just northwest of the GPS marker. Horse Ranch has a pit toilet. We stayed at the TH with a great view of endless aspens, but only a few sites to be found. Not too busy for a holiday.
Report Check-InBeautiful campsite with nice views but I would never camp here again. The mosquitoes ate us alive and we were in a slide-in camper on a Ford truck. We’ve been boondocking for seven weeks and never seen mosquitoes anywhere close to this bad. Also, Kebler Pass Road is a thoroughfare and it is not as remote as it would seem. There’s a lot of traffic on the road.

Report Check-InReally nice spot, great views and an easy trail down to the river. We saw black bears in mid July so we chained our dog up. Before that we were able to see/hear elk, beaver and deer also. Amazing!

Report Check-InFound a nice off-road trail FR209 that has some wonderful campsites. The road is a bit rutted so you might need some higher clearance but there was a Prius up at one of the sites

had a very canadian experience outside of canada watching a beaver live it’s life
