Campsite/cottages/restaurant/bar just at "Source of the Nile" with splendid view where the River Nile leaves Lake Victoria. Either camp under shady trees or an open spot with view of river and lake. Facilities very basic and cold shower only. Friendly and helpful staff. Camping costs 50'000UGX/p/n

Very friendly people. They where open for negotiation for the price of camping. We had a calm night with a great view on the source of the Nile! Ziplining here is really recommended!
Report Check-InThey changed there prices from beginning 2024. Camping now is 50k UGX pppn, no chance of negotiation. Compared to other places around this seemed very overpriced…

Nice campsite with beautiful view on the river Nile
Campsite is now 50 000 ugx/pppn
and boat trip is 50 000 ugx/pp and we are alone.
Report Check-InAll as others have said, super view of the mouth of the Nile friendly owners. nice grassy spot. Not well signed posted turn left on small road right after you cross the railroad tracks. Added a picture of the entrance gate still 30,000 Ugandan shillings pp. Grassy field for overlanders can get muddy in the wet season may need 4x4 for the slope to get in and out.

Report Check-InAlthough it's not a proper campsite it is an excellent place to stay and enjoy the view and the variety of birds flying over the river (pelicans, eagles, parrots, turacoa and many others). They open a chalet for hot showers and you use the toilets by the gate. No ablutions for campers such as dishwashing sink. Free wifi reaches camping area well but Airtel and MTN also work properly. Price still 30,000 UGX ppn.
Report Check-InAmazing view! We were the only guest and we camped there with our car. The staff was very friendly and we were allowed to shower in one of the guest rooms.

Report Check-InCampground with the most amazing view at the Nile. Many places to park, wifi,clean toilet and they let us use a room to have hot shower. Price is fixed at 30000 (8 dollars). Only is better to bring your food because 2 chapatis costed 10000 and local beee 8000 (you can walk at the next camping in 500 meters and buy beer for 4000). They even washed my clothes for very reasonable price. Highly recomended.

Report Check-InIf wanting a brilliant view of the source of the Nile together with seeing the John Hanning Speke (the man who claimed to have discovered this source of the Nile) monument, this is a great spot! With the green grass, shady trees and drink at the bar, the amount paid for this is more than justified and reasonable relative to the check in on other side of the river. We did not make use of the camping facilities.

30 000ush pp. No other guests. We were not offered to use a bathroom in the cottages but said the ablutions have hot water. The ablutions and surrounding area a bit run down. People friendly. Washing machine broken.

Camping is 30,000Sh; a room $95! (Incl breakfast). Breakfast is 29,000Sh.
Plenty of space for camping, either in shade or sun. I was the only person there, but was told this was because ot was a weekday. I camped and was given use of a cottage for shower and toilet. Also had a fridge and washing machine, which I took advantage of.
Restaurant on site serves good food at not unreasonable prices.

Definitely worth visiting, if only for the aforementioned view.
Fantastic view of the source of the Nile and the Speke Monument is on their grounds so no need to pay to see it if you are staying there. Behind the memorial are steps down to the river.
Friendly staff and great WiFi even at pitches. Big rig friendly confirmed. Ablutions are a bit lacking but the toilet by the gate is okay. there is a restaurant and bar with okay prices too.
We would stay here again in Jinja even though it's 30,000 pppn.
