Bolivia
Ask at the Gas- Station. On the left side of the Gas- Station is the entrance. The people are very friendly and helpful. They filled up my 2 US Propan bottles (5 kg). But you need an european adapter.

Here we fill our German Gasbottle with our Adapter. It is a 5 kg bottle and take 60 BoL
Report Check-InVery friendly man. Filled our german tank for free. Didn’t need adapters
Report Check-InWe were able to fill in about 5kg gaz bottle at the enterprise next door called "Solgaz" for 22,50 bols.
But the latter didn't have the right adaptator for our brasilian bottle : YPFB did. The guy from YPFB lend it to Solgaz' lady and 2 hours later our bottle was filled! Yipeee!
Asked one of the gas station fools and he said propane doesn’t exist there even though I could see them filling propane next door so we just walked and asked the guard who told us to wait for a yellow truck. In the end, just wait for a yellow truck driver outside the gate and ask them! They’re super friendly and told us yes right away to fill our 3kg Argentinian bottle for 22.50 bols. It was a relief because we had been denied twice in tupiza. Took about 2 hours total waiting for a car and then to get filled.
Report Check-InHello
I ask to the gas station and they put my 2 bottles in a truck wich wait to enter in the gas place...
One hour later my bottles was full.
One french and one argentine bottle.
For 22.5 bols each
Good place but.....tranquilo
There are two gasplants: „Solgas“ and „Surgas“ there. We were at Surgas and could exchange our empty 10kg argentinian gas bottle, with a new bolivian one, for 22,5bol! Hell-Yeah! 🤘🏽
Report Check-InPlace to fill up propane tank. You have to speak with the driver of one of the yellow propane tank delivery. He will take your tank and have it fill for 50bls (more for different valve fitting) took no more than 15 min for the whole process.
Report Check-InFilled our 5kg bottle for 32.50bol. The guy was very helpful. We have a US bottle and he said he couldn't fill it because the Bolivian tanks have a larger fitting. I have a jumper hose (male to male same size on each end) that fits US bottles and Argentinian/Chilean bottles that I showed him, he was able to make it work with this.
As you should probably expect this place is not open on Sundays.
