Latest Check-Ins

there is only 4 campsites for 1 rig each where you can camp, they were all fully booked when we arrived and the office was not reachable per phone in advance.... so in high season don't expect to camp here spontaneously!

Report Check-In

Prices still accurate as stated by Savannatales. 250 for 2 internationals + car. Small park but amazing for its peacefulness (not many tourists) and its "free" campsites. We saw 2 lions, lot of ellies, hippos, crocs, baboons...
Lower your tires pressure is a very good idea for some deep sand sections.

Make sure you booked in advance a campsite if you want to overnight, as there is only 4 inside. Send a WhatsApp to the ranger (Fabian : +264 81 606 2961) at north gate, he is very friendly and helpful. Payment only cash.

still 250 nad for 2 people and camping. Easily chose campsite 4 but i would not mind 3 either after viewing both. Did not air down for deep sand but powered through

New prices for international travellers (see post of "savannahtales".
Booking and paying ONLY in office nearby North gate.
Consider: between camp 2 and 3 is deep sand and many narrow bushes for about 2 km!!! Lower the air pressure is absolut nessesary.
For trucks very hard work, many scratches and high risk to get stucked.
At the office they told us that this is the only way to get here and the shorter way from the main tar road is worse! Absolut nonsense! The shorter way to camp 3 and overflow (from the main tar road) is only 2 km and "only" the last 500 m are deep sand (but also here one must lower the air pressure!). But almost no bushes and scratches!

Still N$40,- pp and 10 for the vehicle. We got a nice info letter about the park.

Report Check-In

We check in at the office and pay 40$N per person and 10$N for the car. The guy explained us which road we could take with our 2 wheels car and everything went perfectly fine. You can't take all the roads but you can definitely enjoy the park during the dry season. Campsite have no facility but are close to the river. The view is amazing and the entrance fees include the campsite. Don't miss it! More wild than the reserve we use to do, elephant could be quite "agressive" with cars, be careful.

They are on strike 😀 office locked. Nobody working.

Visiting the park seems to be for free now 👍

Seems that booking ahead is the smarter thing as its fully booked for the whole week.
