Between the road and the lagoon no service, quiet at night.

The laguna Sausacocha is definitely a great place to spend the night. But avoid this spot, there are better ones.
Heading to Huamachuco, just continue until to reach the group of several restaurants. Between these restaurants and the lake, you have plenty of grassy flat space to camp, without visibility from the road. You can even find a roof to protect from the rain.
Was defined as established campground. This is definitely no established campground. It's more like a not even flat grassy spot beside the road. Lots of traffic during the day.
