nice place to see, not really special in my opinion. please do not sleep here as it is not allowed, plenty of other places around that are official camping areas, nice and also free. The reason why it is not allowed is because of the birds in the lake area. respect this.

Hello
Realy big parking for all size aof motorhome.
You can't sleep here.
We have made th hike to the mirador to see the Rumiñahui .
Around 2 hours in family to go and 1h15 to come back.
Nice hike.
Take care,the last 3 or 5 kilometres are realy bad with so much holes..
With a motorhome it's not funny.
So we don't try to go out from the park by the north entrance.
During the day there was a guard,but it was a sunday.

I don't know about camping here, but it is a lovely flat walking trail (1-1.5 hrs) in the prairie around the small laguna with lots of chances to see different birds. Very windy!

No overnight camping allowed to protect the birds but there is a camp place few km down the road both ways. Beautiful view of cotapaxi ...small hike to enjoy views

This isn't a good site for tent campers and it's quite windy here but you get amazing views of the volcano. We just parked here all day and enjoyed the ever-changing view out our back window. Free.
