Beautiful site by Lake Kaweah. Government operated, $20/night. Has decent showers and toilets although a little run down. Many sites are not very leveled. Also has a dump station and water. Lots of space between spots. Most campers fishing in the lake. Non-campers can use dump station and showers for a $4 fee each.

Latest Check-Ins

it was closed when we arrived. There was some water on the campground and it looked deserted.

Report Check-In

water is way down. Campground is open. nice site.............

Report Check-In

The Campground is closed due to the fact that it's literally underwater. Entrance gate is closed and 300 feet past it the road is underwater.

www.recreation.gov The only posibility to stay here is when you have made a on line booking 24 hours in advance.. ( tel. 877 4446777). the good system with the trust- envelopes is no longer in use. The camphost didn't like the new system. Nice location just a few miles before the entrance of Sequoia NP. There are verry little opportunitys to make a bushcamp as far as we can see. Along the road (190) is not a good idea.

If you have no reservations before, which has to be done at least 24h before, forget it. We were standing at the Campground which was nearly empty, but there was no chance to pay. A notice said, you have to do it online, but online you just can do it for the next day. They still had the box for cash paying, but it was taken out of work. Obviously they don't want any spontaneous guest's.

This place is in wrong location - it is located at 36.38727, -118.95031

Easy access but with lots of highway noise. Many sites are underwater and closed right now so the campground is almost full on a Tuesday night. Spots that are open aren't great either just on side of the park road or not level. There may be better spots when the full campground is available. The positives there is water, flush toilet and warm showers. Decent Verizon and poor AT&T LTE. Yours to enjoy protect and keep clean!

Wonderful place overlooking the lake from almost all places. Lots of room when we came. Envelope-system for 20$ a night. Includes hot shower, dump station, potable water.

Very Nice place. We paid 20$ per Night. Closing gate at 9 Pm. We didnt do the reservation in advance and 8 pm there still was a place for us. Wonderful place by the lake. One minus : rest rooms

US Army Corp of Engineers Lakesite campground

Report Check-In

Wife open camping area with full view to campers in all directions. But nice view of the lake. 5 mins drive to a swimming area, and your camping permit here gets you free parking at the swimming area.
Good deal for $20. Paved, level parking areas. Running water at each campsite, but non-threaded spigot for filling buckets but nothing for attaching hoses. There is a threaded water spigot just down the hill from the bathrooms for filling your fresh water tanks in your RV/camper. Fore pit and picnic table at each campsite. Running water in the bathrooms with some not so nice showers, but hey, there are showers for only $20/night. Not a bad price.

Great location! 20$ per night with a nice view of the lake and mountains! Toilets and showers are ok! Water and dumping also available!

Huge campground, with restroom, hot shower (does not need coins). Fire ring and picnic table at every spot. Most of the spots are crooked.
Almost no shadow at all and it can get very warm even in late August. Some noise from the road nearby but nothing too loud.
20$/night. Well located to go/come back from Sequoia Park

Beautiful spot, warm showers, friendly camp host, couldn’t ask for more.

Very nice place near the lake. Good option when it’s cold up to the mountains and on the way to Sequoia NP (not far from the entrance). Several pits even for big RV and self registration if you arrive late.
