Nothing particularly special about the town but the road is nice. Drove this before and during a rain in a 2wd Transit. No problems driving, road is solid ripio. However, take into consideration cloud cover. We drove a lot of it in fog and couldn’t see anything. Check weather before heading this way.

The parts we did see were spectacular!

We drove the dirt road after a night with heavy rains and the road was still fine for all type of cars! No 4x4 needed, maybe not suitable for very large rigs due to some narrow turns.
The land on both side of the road is fenced off and lots of „private property - no trespassing“ signs. Still a nice drive, a balneario along the way might be an overnight option (didn’t check it though)

Indeed a beautiful road. With our Unimog good to drive. Stayed at a flat place aside the road. No cars during night.

This is a must see road through amazing landscape. easily done with moto or 4x4, and Villa Benegas has sites, comedores, possibly lodging. along the road, there are flat spots with great views where one could set up a tent
