Unfortunately this place has been closed for over a year because a crocodile has moved into the area and the authorities have closed the park to protect the reptilian...
Beautiful place! Private playa with palapas, fogones, pier. Pay 5q per person to use the place. Plenty wood to make barbecue.
We slept in front, w shade, nice people. We felt safe and Police said its safe.
For us is the best spot in the area!

it is still closed unfortunately... But you can camp a night in front of the park in the parking lot probably!

Report Check-InWe arrived on Sunday and the watchman said for 5Q each we can use the beach, bathrooms and shower. On Monday a girl came and conditions changed, she wanted to charge 20Q each per day considering we were in a camper van and we should pay as if we were inside the camping area even though we were in the parking area next to the street.

Report Check-InThis place actually belongs to one of the faculties at the University of Guatemala. The admission of Q.5 is for entering the swimming area. On the other side of the road they have toilets and even showers. Parking is right at the side of the road. Staying overnight was no problem at all. Few cars during the night. We can recommend this place, nothing special but good for 1-2 nights before/after heading to Tikal.
Report Check-InVery nice place! Clean, palapas, the water is amazing for swimming, we loved it. Only 5qtz pp and you have access to toilets/shower across the road. Worth it!
