Stayed here for 3 nights. Friendly owners, lot of space, even our big rig could go through the gate. Nice to meet some other overlanders. Best shower I had this trip! You can walk to the center (40 minutes), we used our bikes.
Beware of the policeacademy next door, some noice, trumpet, drum and even shootingsounds and testosteronshoutings. To bad, otherwise we would have stayed longer.

Be prepared for a fair bit of noise from the next door police academy. They start playing the trumpet and practicing drills with lots of shouting as early as 5am

We spent here several nights, nice little camping - big garden in front of the hostel. Clean toilets and showers with hot water and good stream. Family is very nice, they invite all guests for BBQ in the garden and prepare excellent meat(4-5kinds) and potatoes. Good place to stay to explore Tarija. You can go by walk to the city centre or go by taxi(5b/pp).

excelente atención de los anfitriones, Fernanda y su familia se portan de mil maravillas. es el único espacio para camping en Tarija. 100 % garantizado!

Report Check-In

came in late at night, nice place, green, hot showers, fast WiFi and most friendly hosts Fernanda and Paolo.

Report Check-In

Sin duda, el lugar para quedarse cuando se visita Tarija. Fernanda y su familia son muy acogedores. Me quedé con ganas de tener más tiempo para conocer mejor la ciudad y disfrutar de la tranquilidad del camping.

Report Check-In

Wonderful campsite. Fernanda and Pablo are very hospitable. Nice grassy campground, flat, water, very nice hot water showers, and WIFI.

Pablo loves to BBQ, so ask if you want to do one.

Bathrooms could be a bit refreshed and we wish there were hooks in the shower room. But we would absolutely stay again if in Tarija.

They have no pets, so it’s nice if you have your own dog or cat.

great place. had a room just for myself. it was a bit to cold for Camping in the garden. Fernanda is a very good a friendly Host. highly recomendation.

We found Fernanda's number on the website, contacted her via WhatsApp, and arranged our arrival for late afternoon since we gave her a short notice and she wasn't at the campsite.
When we arrived, we felt very welcomed by Fer and Pablo. They showed us around and, although it was almost nighttime, spent some time with us building a nice connection.
Bathrooms and hot showers were very clean and we also had wifi available.
Before we left, Fer shared with us some orange cake she had baked for her daughter.
Wish we could've stayed longer!

Report Check-In

A great place to stay. Fernanda and her kids are so lovely and made our stay very comfortable. As we arrived, nobody was there, but they have a homepage where you can find Fernandas WhatsApp contact. She immediately replied and confirmed that campground is open and she will be there soon.
There is everything what you need. Toilets and shower are very clean and shower is hot. I can definitely recommend this place!

Stayed for 2 nights, only campsite in Tarija, 25bob per person. Bigger rigs won't fit due to the low hanging tree in front of the gate. Owner is super friendly and the shower is just amazing!

Report Check-In

According to the conditions and spirit of the place and owners, La Cupula is definitely the iOverlander spot in Tarija.
Due to pandemia, the toilets and garden would need a little maintenance (they hardly had received any guest before our arrival), but despite that, this is a very nice place. Very helpful owners and simpatic family, well located, quiet, lots of space, hot water in the showers, excellent Wi-Fi etc etc... And Leonardo the teenager son is a very good chess player haha.

Very nice people, easy walk to town centre or catch the bus from just outside the campsite for 1.6 bolivianos. Great hot showers and good wifi. 60 bolivianos for 2 people in a van. Tarija is an excellent place to look for parts, we easily located an air filter for an E150 Ford, see posting under Mechanics for details.

Nice and friendly place to stay, grassy garden but little shade. At times at night a whole shitload of dogs barking.

Report Check-In

We had two good nights here. A lot of space and clean bathrooms. There is also a kitchen which we could use. The owner family is very friendly. Go to the observatorium nearby! 70BOB/night (2+van+breakfast)

Report Check-In

Nice people, clean bathrooms, all good. Bus to city centre starts at the door.

Report Check-In

This place is in a quiet area and easy access. plenty of parking. Breakfast is basic and we needed to go and get a more substantial breakfast after (recommend Mecardo Central - cheap, clean and tasty food). Wifi good. Nice communal areas. Hot shower. We stayed in a private room as we had bikes and a tent and weather was bad. Curtains didn't meet and virtually seethrough and windows were next to outdoor communal area so not ideal. very friendly place! Arrived Wednesday and there was a BBQ planned - excellent and 35bol per person.

Report Check-In

Rustic but clean camping. 35Bs/person, breakfast included. The witdh of the black steel gate is 2.80m, the white gate is 2.85m and easier to us. No hight restrictions, but watch the gate columns and their concrete crowns at the top. Fernanda does different crunchy pizzas, Wednesday to Friday evenings. 45-55Bs for a 30cm size - we liked it.

Report Check-In

Be prepared to be awakened early by the drills of the police school next door (except on Sunday). Apart from that it’s a nice and friendly place with all necessary comfort including nice hot showers and very good WiFi. The owners are very friendly and helpful.

Report Check-In

A very pleasant place to stay. Came for one night, stayed for two. Shared kitchen got a little dirty but bathrooms were kept clean and there's great outdoor seating areas. Huge area to park as well. WiFi very strong and fast all over the yard. Breakfast was decent though not extravagant. It was about a 30 minute walk to downtown. 35 b per person with breakfast. We took a wine tour with Viva tours and that was good too.
The bus 7 stops right outside and costs 1.8 b and will take you right downtown.

Report Check-In

Not suited for big rigs. But you can park outside the gate on foothpath. use the wifi. Pablo and his wife are very friendly and helpfull.

Report Check-In

Very nice place, came for 2 days and stayed a week; longest time in one place after 3 months on road. Pablo and Fernanda runs La Cúpula, they make you feel with family. good facilities and fair price 35bol pp on camping or 45 bol in a room. breakfast with bread jam fruits yogurt coffee tea.

Report Check-In

Cool place to stay. I spent more than a week and enjoyed it a lot. "Pablo" is a very nice guy and he takes care of you and your needs. Public transportation (bus) stops at the main gate. So easy access to town. This place is highly recommended. Rem.: In case you have a "real" big rig (wide 2.50m) you might not get through the doors. But you can stay in front and use all the amenities incl. electricity, wifi etc. So don't hesitate to give it a try...

Report Check-In

Good cheap-hippie place to stay in Tarija. Bus line nr 7 nearby, 30 BOB camping, 45 BOB dorm, if you stay more nights you can negotiate. Place and company to make asado. Great owner Pablo who can give you lots of useful tips about visiting nearby trekking routes.

Report Check-In

Will only suit the hippy types. Horrible open camping area without any shade, can be very windy and dusty. Shared facilities not clean. And expensive even by Tarija standards: 30Bs to camp, 60Bs for dorm bed! Much better places in town.

Report Check-In

Pablo, the owner, and his family are very very lovely and helpful people! They will try to make everything possible you need. The campspace isn't huge but there is enough space for up to four big rigs or more smaller cars or tents. They have also rooms with bunk beds. The shower is perfect, although it's electric it has the perfect temperature. Also there is a kitchen with everything you need and a table and benches outside to sit in the shadow. The wifi is great. When we were there they had dance classes for kids.
For sleeping in the car we payed 30per person per night.

Report Check-In

not for big rig. the entrance is 2,35m large and not easy to manage. otherwise quiet place
