Description

Big flat parking area. It is in the center and we visited everything, walking, during the Semana Santa. Very quiet and safe and close to restaurants.

$15.000 to park overnight.
As others described. A self sufficient place to sleep overnight for big rigs. Hot & lots of mosquitoes & “no see bitting bugs”.
The small skinny man (most of the time shirtless) in rubber boots is the gate keeper. He is very nice. When we arrived There was a small child, his two small puppies one is sick and the mother that can barely walk.
The hotel Santa Cruz is around the corner but tiny space 2 vans were squeezed in already.
Saturday night, loud music until after 2am. Not sure if this is nightly but could be, by 7am there was loud music coming from the restaurant on corner. It is very hot, we aren’t staying; if you have seen other beautiful colonial cities like Antigua Guatemala you can skip coming here.

The advantage is that it is suitable for big rigs and in walkable distance to the malecon and the center - otherwise as described.
We asked the guy if he would be around if we came back after dark and he told us yes, but when we came back at maybe 8/8:30pm we didn't see him anywhere and the little tienda at the corner was closed. Luckily the gate was not locked so we could get in. Friends of ours had to climb the fence a couple of days earlier. Just fyi

Report Check-In

(Today) clean and suitable place for big rigs. 15.000,-.

Report Check-In

No grass area. The place is more of a kind of junkyard. But there is no other option for us here. Space is safe behind a gate and wall. Very hot so air conditioning makes sense. 10,000COP 🤷🏼‍♂️
Very closed the nice town.

Report Check-In

Flat parking secure. But very dirty place. The only solution that we found safe here. Ok for one night. But very very hot mompox

Report Check-In

Not worth it. It's a dirt parking without services, the guy asked for 10k, not willing to negotiate. We moved forward and park near the Concejo municipal, street parking, very safe and quiet.

Report Check-In

no problem getting here with a 24 feet, dirt parking lot very close to the center. we paid 7000 cop for 24 hours plus 5000 cop at the small restaurant to be able to connect to electricity. not too noisy and secure

Report Check-In

$7000 for parking 24hrs. me fill the water tank and evacuate dump water tanks.
I talked to the friendly neighbor and they provide me power and I paid additional $5000
A big truck came and stayed turned on make noise few hours...
The place is dirty, grassy and seem like any one could get inside, but I left my motorhome while visiting the center without any problem

Report Check-In

Mompox is really nice, but this parking lot is very dirty. A lot of rubbish and dog shit. We stayed there for one night, because we had no other chance with our size. But it was quiet and safe.

Report Check-In

we didn't stay. the place was as described but the manager was a bit rude and there was a sketchy homeless guy laying outside the gate.

we parked near soccer field and El fuerte. the police stopped by and offered us a free spot with them but we declined. they said it was pretty safe but not 100% :)

Report Check-In

Friendly guy and a secure, peaceful night. A bit airless - no breeze due to the surrounding walls - which is challenging in such a hot climate/region. Grass area is spacious & room for big-rigs. No height-limit. No facilities that we saw, so you need to be self-sufficient, but it's only 7000$ for 24hrs, so good value to visit the town & keep your truck safe.
