I don't know about Willy the fixer, but I can confirm that Mohamed, the main agent responsible for customs, will try to scam you and manipulate you. AVOID Mohamed!!

good morning everyone, I contacted 3 days ago Willy replied immediately, with incomplete and incorrect information. in addition to his request for $ 100, beyond all logic. Unfortunately the customs sends you to a Fixer, which is very very bad. I negotiated, with the imposed Fixer, the price first, initial price 200 rials then 100 rials I paid 5000 pouds. summary costs Sudanese side: auto 120000 pouds person 84000 pouds port tax 220riyal immigration tax 1500 pouds Fixer 5000 pouds. you have to change some rials that are needed later.

I will never understand why people are traveling and are not able to buy a ticket or a range some stamps at the border by themselves. ..
Therapie is absolut no need for a fixer. All officers are helpful (OK most do not speak english) and show you where
you have to go.

Everybody praises Midhat Mahir and Omar. Our experience is that they are also in for a scam. Trying to sell 1st class cabin. (There is no 1st class cabin). Advice: go around and shop tickets etc. do the custom and immigration yourself as Omar will sometimes try to con you.

We 'whatsapped' Willy, asked his services and his price.
He kept repeating his service would cost 'only 100 USD per person, that's all'. As if it is not a ridiculously high amount!

No: for us the same Midhat Mahir(+249 9122 53484, available on Whatssap, we highly recommend him) in Khartoum that helped us getting a Carnet de Passage for Sudan, helped us with arranging a fixer(Oemar) in Sawakin to border the ferry.

Midhat forwarded our passport copies and carnet copy to our fixer Oemar and gave us his number. In the 2 days we drove up from Khartoum to Sawakin, Oemar already arranged our ferry tickets.

Exiting Sudan:
When arriving in Sawakins port we called Oemar and he arrived within 10 minutes to help us. He needed our passports and carnet, explained a little bit and was on his way very quick and fast. After 3 hours we could drive up to the ferry and handed over the Sudanese carnet to Oemar so he would send it back to Midhat.

You have to leave the car key in the car for the drivers to drive the car in and out of the ferry(nothing was stolen).

The ferrytickets for 2 people incl. the car and Oemar's services costed us SP.4600,-

We were happy with the service of both Midhat and Oemar. We advice to book a fixer via Midhat, as you'll know for sure you will not be disappointed and arrange a fixed price.

We recommend you use this fixer and NOT Mohamed (driving a Mercedes).

Responds fast to emails, offers fair price. We choose differently because he would be in Egypt on the day of our departure and could not lead us through the harbor (immigration and customs).

We were extremely disappointed in Mohamed as he lied a lot to us (see other review)!!!!
