Latest Check-Ins

Agree with Phil & Angie and dappypapua. We paid pensioners rate of R100 pppn and R50 for our car. When we visited we were the only ‘over nighters’; many permanent residents. Very quiet. Manager’s daughter very helpful and welcoming. Didn’t use the swimming pool but it looked good. Very good value for money.

Report Check-In

- R120 a night R50 per vehicle
- Phone signal only at one or two of the campsites, others there is nothing
- Good water pressure
- Bring an extension cord for the electricity
- swimming pool
- Some sites can get muddy after rain
- WhatsApp to book +27 82 555 9684
- Restaurant not open all the time

Report Check-In

Prices are now R 120pp plus R 50 for vehicle. ok place - nothing special. The campsite itself is in a small forest. Truck driver should check before how far they want to drive in (low hanging branches).
As alternative they can stand in the big open grassy field (day visitor area?). However there is no electricity and one has to walk some meter more to the bathroom.
The whole area is a bit uneven.

Report Check-In

Large open area with a section under low shade trees for tents. Open to day visitors so busy at weekends. Close to the road which can be noisy. 120 Rand pppn. electric hookup, braai, dated ablutions with toilet paper available from reception. OK stopover to visit museum of humankind.

Report Check-In

We also came to visit the nearby Cradle of Humankind. Campground at Countryside, Camping on sandy Area. Nothing Special, okay for one Night. Some long term Caravan Guests. Ablutions were run down and dirty. Not even Toilet Paper. We arrived late and at least got a Discount: 80 ZAR pppn.
