Description

Big parking behind the gasstation. Traffic noise not completely blocked, but far enough (200 metres) from the mainroad. Tree line gives a bit shade in the back and you have valley view. One of the larger parkings we found aloung this road. Free when you buy gass. Little restaurant with gasstation shop present.

really good spot for a truck „camp“ > vigilant secu guy, friendly regular truckers (everybody knows everyone) and the vendor ladies with her all- in buffet rigs have some cheetos & cafe for you (next to other things;))!
(Ok there is some noise but you knew it already)

Definitely one of nicer truck parking lots that we passed on our way to Guatemala City. However, flat spots are hard to find and the trucks take most of the flat spots early on. We finally parked under the water tower (next to the security guard’s office) in the back right corner of the lot.

Security guard asked us if we bought gas, since the lot is only for customers.

Showers were closed when we were there.

Safe but loud-ish.

Loads of space. Nice & quiet. Good (as far as gas stations go). No need to fill up.

Stopped here after (of course) getting stuck in traffic in Guatemala City and having the sun setting.

Filled up with fuel and asked the jockey if we could stay. Super friendly. Security guard at night. Parked under the water tower. Flush toilets and running water across the lot.

Busy with lorries during the night but felt safe and comfortable.
Our first petrol station camping :)

Trucks tend to gather in the other corner.
